Zombie Off
Abe Morrow slammed his fist on the desk in anger as the guard stood before him, a troubled look on his face. He had just finished giving his boss an update on the missing girl, and it wasn’t going over well.
“How the hell could you let her get away!” screamed Morrow.
“Sir, she’s smart. She made it hard to catch up,” he responded.
“I don’t want to hear excuses! Come first light, I want you’re sorry asses back out at the park searching for that girl! Tell Jamison I want him to lead the search personally.”
The man nodded as Morrow continued.
“I reviewed the footage of her escape. Turns out she downloaded the research information before she got out. We have to find her and destroy that flash drive. Understand?”
“Yes sir. We’ll find her, sir.”
“You damn well better. I want that girl! Preferably alive, but if not, dead. Either way, bring me the girl.”
“Yes sir.”
“And don’t forget the ZOMBIE OFF when you go. You might need it.”
“Yes sir,” said the guard as he turned and left the room.
“Idiots,” muttered Morrow as he watched a replay of Diana’s escape from the lab.
Placing both hands on the desk, he leaned forward, his face close to the video monitor.
“When I find you, you’ll wish you had died in that lab,” he whispered.
