Once Upon a time there was a boy named Bart.
But, everybody called him - Bart Golden Heart,
because his heart was filled with love.
Bart liked to play with his “Golden-Heart Heroes".
He loved strong armored heroes.
One day Bart was very upset.
His friend Daniel called him "Coward"
and his heart was covered with anger.
That day he pushed his younger sister Jane
and made his mom angry with him.
Then, his heart was cloaked in anger.
Bart screamed that he wanted daddy NOW
and his dad was upset with him.
His dad asked "Where is my golden-hearted son?"
Bart felt bad and his heart was covered
over and over with sadness and anger,
until he could not feel his golden heart anymore.
Bart cried “I've lost my golden heart!”
He tried to play the harmonica,
that he got from his dad, but no sound came out.
Bart looked at Dino the Dinosaur,
his loyal friend, and the four toy heroes
and said: “I wish I could go to the land of the golden heart heroes.
There in the golden cave I will find my golden heart.”
He hugged Dino and suddenly magic happened -
the Orange Hero was standing in front of him.
Bart said:"Please help me, I need to find my golden heart.
Can you help me get to the golden cave?"
The hero said:
"When you let love unfold,
you always find your heart of gold –
All you need to discover,
is how to uncover
your golden heart's cover!"
The hero added:
"My name is Gong
and I am very strong.
I can push wagons
and kill dragons.
With no remorse
just jump on my horse!"
Bart and Dino mounted the horse of the Orange Hero.
Suddenly a great scary dragon appeared.
Bart was scared but he saw that the hero
was also afraid and tried to hide behind him.
"How can a strong hero like you be so scared?" Bart asked.
He pulled out his harmonica and started playing –
both the hero and the dragon started crying.
Bart thought of his mom and dad and was saddened.
His music was sad.
The hero's tears melted his shield.
He tore off his shield easily and said:
“finally I got rid of this heavy armor and my fear.”
Bart's fear also disappeared
and he was not afraid of the dragon anymore.
The Orange Hero said:
”You see, underneath we all have golden hearts!
All we need to uncover
is our heart's cover!
Listen and I will teach you the secret chant of the heroes:
“We are brave, we are bold,
we always have a heart of gold!
We discovered! We discovered!
That sometimes our golden heart was being covered!
When we let love unfold,
we always find our heart of gold!”
Suddenly, the White Hero appeared
and he said: “My name is Art, and I am the hero in white,
I am strong and smart,
I know to how to swing an axe and scare the rest.
With no remorse
just jump on my horse!
I will lead you to the golden cave."
Bart and Dino mounted the hero's horse.
Bart tried to hug Art but his armor was hard and cold.
Dino hugged Bart and said: “Remember Bart!
As you were told – you always have a heart of gold!”
Art added:
“All you need to discover,
is how to uncover,
your golden heart's cover!”
Art took out a map from his armor and said:
“I am brave!
I will find the golden cave!”
But the White Hero could not find it and became angry.
He shook his body and threw himself on the ground,
saying: “How can a hero like me fail to help a little boy?”
Dino said to Bart: “This is how you behave when you get angry.”
Bart was ashamed. He took out his harmonica and started playing.
He remembered yelling at his father and younger sister.
He was sad. His melody was sad.
The White Hero listened to the melody and cried.
His shield was melted by the tears.
Art, the White Hero, easily tore it off.
"Finally I feel my heart,” cried the hero.
"Don't be ashamed,” said Bart.
“Anyone can get angry and cry at times.”
Bart hugged the hero and remembered his father.
"It is so nice to be without the shield.
Now I can feel again.” Said Art to Bart and hugged him back.
Bart cried too and his tears melted the
shield covering his golden heart. He felt relieved.
The hero asked Bart to recite the heroes' secret chant:
“We are brave, we are bold,
we always have a heart of gold!
We discovered! We discovered!
That sometimes our golden heart was being covered!
When we let love unfold,
we always find our heart of gold!”
Suddenly, they found themselves on a bank of a river.
Across the river they saw the golden cave.
Next to them was the Blue Hero, Drew.
He was restless, running and shouting orders to everyone around him.
"Can you get us across the river?” asked Bart.
The Blue Hero said:
“I am Drew, the
hero in blue.
With no remorse –
just jump on my horse!
and I will get you across.”
Bart and Dino sat behind Drew.
The horse jumped and landed across the river.
Bart tried to hug Drew but his armor was hard and cold.
When they dismounted the horse Drew said:
“The gate of the cave is locked.
I don't have time for you. I am very busy
and you want everything to be easy.”
"Why do you put me down?” asked Bart,
“I need to find my golden heart” Bart added.
But Drew kept shouting and heard nothing.
Bart sat on the ground and cried:
“I want mom and dad.
All I need is some love and hope
and an embrace to help me cope.”
Bart took out his harmonica and played.
He remembered his mom hugging him when he was sad,
and dad kissing him and was glad.
The music turned cheerful.
Drew listened and his eyes were filled with tears.
He looked at Bart and remembered his kids.
His tears melted his cold armor.
It was now easy to tear it off.
"Bart, you reminded me of my kids.
Now it is easy to be less busy.
Let's recite the heroes' secret chant.
/> Bart and Drew said together:
“We are brave, we are bold,
we always have a heart of gold!
We discovered! We discovered!
That sometimes our golden heart was being covered!”
Suddenly, Bart and Dino were inside the cave.
Dino smiled and said:
“So little is left – so let's uncover the rest”
Then they saw Ned -
the hero in red, next to them.
"Can you help me find my heart of gold?” Bart asked.
"There are no hearts in the cave,
just covers people left.”
"How can that be?” asked Bart.
"I was always told
we always have a heart of gold.”
"Sorry,” said Ned “Can't help you.
No one was able to help me uncover
my golden heart's cover.”
Bart played his harmonica...
He thought of family dancing and singing.
The music was happy.
Ned's eyes filled with tears...
his tears melted the shield.
"Your music touched my heart,” he said
“and my heart grew so
I was finally able to tear off the shield.”
Bart felt another cover of sadness being uncovered.
Now he began to feel his golden heart.
Ned invited them to visit the golden cave,
where they found many covers in a shape of heart.
Bart looked at the heart covers. Then it struck him.
“That's what the heroes were saying...
All you need to discover,
is how to uncover,
your golden heart's cover.
If you uncover,
the sadness, fear and anger.
and let love unfold
– you will always find your heart of gold!”
Ned said: “When you go back home –
teach all your friends the heroes' secret chant:
“We are brave, we are bold,
we always have a heart of gold!
We discovered! We discovered!
That sometimes our golden heart was being covered!
When we let love unfold,
we always find our heart of gold!”
Suddenly, Bart found himself on the carpet next to his dad.
"Who is going to win today?” asked Dad.
"Dad!” said Bart, “Today we have a new rule!
No competition among the heroes.
No duels or fights!
Today the winner is the one
who will use love to be brave and bold,
and thus show his heart of gold!“
They played the new game
and when done dad hugged Bart and said:
“I enjoyed today!
You taught me to let love unfold,
and I felt my heart of gold.
You touched my heart.
You're my Bart Golden Heart!”
"My heart of gold, I got from you,”
said Bart and hugged his dad back.
