Yellow Daisies, Purple Clouds
Yellow daisies,
how they remind me of sunny days.
I float through the green horizon,
looking at the pedals of sunshine.
Through and through do I levitate,
my heart is adrift at their light.
I walked through the clouds today.
Violet air filled my lungs
as I walked along a street of mist.
Purple decadence in my memory,
the scent of peace and sunshine.
How walks through purple clouds inspire me.

Through the Unknown
Eons and light years away,
my beacon of light shines.
Far across entirety,
my dreams float nostalgically.
Heavy tread marks my path,
thin ice cracks beneath me.
Each crackle could only mean,
then danger surfaces all but seen.
Fire shines brightly,
in the clear winter sky.
Yet each step comes colder,
and each breath bares my pain.
It's all been said once before.
Words of nocturnal elegance.
The night resembles our love,
dark and hidden from the world.
My hands only reach for the unseen.
Barred away by refusal,
imprisoned by intolerance.
Thin huelessness becomes the wrong blue.
And quickly I fall into the rushing torrent.
A torrent of indigenous fear,
fear marked by the sweat of hope.
Veiled hands reach out and surround me,
yet makes no attempt to grasp and take hold.
Darkness is our love.
Slowly as I drift down the river,
my soul expedient,
I let go of the tangible.
And like our love,
I slip to the unseen, unknown.

My Soul Wants
I want to know it all,
'It' being everything.
I want to rise above,
but what above do I rise into?
I want to feel the love,
but I know I already do.
I don't want Louis Vitton, Coach, or Jimmy Choo,
I just want to be connected with all of you.
I want to make a change in the world,
but what would the world change into?
All that is physical,
is fake and will fall through.
All that is of your soul,
will see you safely through.
If all I ever truly know,
if there is one thing I grasp,
is that going with the flow,
is the only way not to fall through the cracks.
Follow that, and that alone
and Flow will guide you safely home.

Sweet Reverie
Sweet reverie, which speaks to me without clarity.
You would make my mind flutter and my soul weep, sweet reverie.
How dare you invoke my past upon me, sweetest, whimsical reverie.
Every day I progress a little more,
until sweet, bloody reverie comes knocking at my door.
Then he enters, and knocks me to the floor.
With a sword made of my darkest moments,
he wages war.
I emphatically beg and plead to the heavens,
not to be overcome by my darkest hour,
yet as the blade pierces my heart, I taste the taste of something sour.
It is not death, nor is it the taste of blood,
It is the light in the darkness, washing through like a flood,
that reminds me of the sweet reverie that is something good.
I am reminded now of the tempest in my heart of hearts,
which begs to lay waste to my darkest parts.
Its winds lift me up when I am unable to stand erect,
its storm provides a shield on which negativity will deflect.
Its torrential rains replenish me, and fills my cup.
its very existence reminds me, I am but a pup,
a scholar writing new chapters every day.
I still have yet to have my say.
Sweet reverie, this eve I beg of thee,
knock no longer at my door.
It is you, sweet reverie, that I abhor.

I Let It All In
I let it all in
I'm sorry,
but if feeling this way is a sin
all I can do is grin
because the feeling that moves through me
vibrates at such a high velocity,
resonates with such intensity,
that I am overcome in joy.
I let it all in.
My mind and my heart bend
and as the colors swirl around and blend
everything looks and feels like a godsend.
I let it all in.
I soak it up like a spongy giant,
ready to take on the world and be defiant,
and in another moment,
ready to be peaceful and compliant.
I let it all in.
I also let it all out.
For being within is also being without.
Let go of ego, take hold of emotions,
take a swim into that ocean.
I let it all in.

The Thought of You
I close my eyes and I picture you.
Curly locks of hair rest on your shoulders,
and the smile that creases your delicate face,
that puts light in the darkest place.
My fears run away when the thought of you
crosses paths with the thought of me.
I can see it clearly, in my head,
yet the thought of really touching you
makes the feeling drop dead.
My fantasy can never be a reality,
my reality can never live up to my fantasy.
All I know is picture perfect you and me,
the one wish that I wsh could be,
this love which daylight will never see.
Only my eyes, which long to meet yours.
Only my lips craving your lips.
Only a craving to be loved for loving so much.
I give and give, and yield no return.
Only my dreams of you I see,
and I watch them crash and burn.

Learn to Count Them
Where there is will, there is a way.
We hear these words day in and out,
will is something we just can't do without.
Yet without a doubt, some have no will,
some have no dreams they can fulfill.
They don't see the rut in which they lay,
they want nothing else but to make the feelings go away.
But we are they, and they are we
the word is the only thing that separates us, you see?
If the sky can hold the stars,
and the moon and the sun,
then we can surely come about,
and see that being should be as one.
We must treat each day as if the sun rose just for us, because it does.
We must treat with the passing breeze in thanks,
and cherish the water that tends to our thirsts.
Each breath we take is just the first of our blessings.
We must learn to count them.
