Tralchar - Dwarf elder and representative on the Council of Twelve.
Vargor - Half-troll leader of the goblin forces referred to as the Horde.
Places
Alzear - Originally the northern territories comprising: Nitewold, Oumtuk, Gnell, Meregith, Mor, Grimlaw, Northshire, Gamran Thorn and Mire, and Drakeshire. At the time of this story Alzear generally refers to Mor and Meregith with a loose alliance to Grimlaw.
Belgor - Capitol of Mor.
Castle Thraw - Mage training school.
Delvings - Elf homeland.
Drakeshire - Undead homeland.
Draymass - Harbor town in Mor.
Gamran Mire - Tattlejack homeland.
Gamran Thorn - Troll homeland, a region almost entirely covered in thorn bushes.
Gnell - Homeland of the Pocrinds and Goblins.
Grimlaw - Dwarf homeland.
Kelross - Capitol of Meregith.
Meregith - Human land, previously elven.
Mor - Human homeland.
Narelzbad - Homeland of the orcs, across the Churning seas north of Qtar.
Nitewold - Bane homeland.
Oumtuk - Anghoos and centaurs’ homeland.
Stedd - Small village where Dekor lived as a child.
Qtar - Desert land across the Churning seas.
University of Elements - Mage training school in Belgor. Official seat of the governing authorities, the Council of Twelve.
Creatures and Races
Alliance - Generally comprised of humanoid races though any emphatic parties are welcomed provided they agree to be party to the ruling of the Council of Twelve.
Anghoos - Humanoid-bull (minotaur).
Belkin - A dragon often used as a mount by warlocks.
Bultar - A grazing animal, similar to large a bison.
Centaur - Horse with a human-like torso and head.
Critt - Elemental creature partially constructed from localized vegetation. Capable of near invisibility when in water. Also known as Fen Dweller.
Dandril - Largest of all dragons. Found in many areas, but usually favouring forests and mountains.
Darkling - Vampire elf.
Dragon - Many types and sizes some capable of speech includes: skitterlings, belkins, reylong, commons, and dandrils among others. There are two mythic dragons: the white and the Sleeper.
Dwarf - A race of people less than four feet in height.
Gnomes - Once inhabited Mor. Reputedly annihilated during a war before humans came to Mor leaving a land ready to be inhabited.
Goblins - Various types usually keep themselves to themselves.
Harpies - Bird-like race of enchantresses.
High Elf - Magical race of beings dwelling in a real known as the delvings.
Horde - The collective name for the enemies of Alzear. The constituent races have varied over time. Currently led by Vargor it is formed of the goblins, pocrinds, and the undead. Individual trolls, ogres and other races are also included on occasion.
Lagarto - Six-legged crocodile.
Mages - Person of any race that can use mana.
Ogres - Varying sizes, simple, peaceable, with powerful magic.
Orc - Tall, muscular, very powerful, warrior race heralding from Narelzbad.
Pocrind - Human-porcine halfling up to five feet in height.
Skitterling - Rideable raptor-like creature with a broad head.
Talloran ram - Preferred mount of the dwarves.
Tattlejack - Toad-like race around three feet in height. Their presence compels people to tell the truth.
The Divines - Demonic gods including, but not limited to: Accuson, the Dark Mistress, Ariklon, The Faceless One, Nehushtan, Bemmoth, and Leviathan.
Troll - Tall, mystical – one with the earth.
Undead - Fully living dead. Their lives are extended by drinking elixir made from blood. They can be created by being given bane elixir after death, and this must be repeated annually to slow the process of decay.
Warlock - Fire-wielding mage, considered evil by other mages.
Zombie - Mindless dead, raised from the grave or created using the Vapors of Death, a mist that hangs over a region zombifying all living things.
Miscellaneous
Council of Twelve - Ruling authority over the Mor and Meregith. Comprised of elves, humans, dwarves, and darklings, with the Archmage as incumbent leader.
Mana - A generalized, supernatural force or power, which may be concentrated in objects or persons.

Gorget - A collar worn to protect the throat.
Flambard - A two-handed sword with 'flame' or wavy edges.
Grimoire - A textbook of spells and magic.
Pauldron - Armored shoulder piece. Sometimes covering the armpits, upper arms and back of the shoulder.
Spaulder - Armored plates worn on the upper arms and shoulders in a suit of armor.
Spells
Aristos - Instantly roasts flesh.
Arto - A spell to crush or contract.
Efafta - Used to open locks etc.
Nofuma - Captures fire.
Photos - Creates a small amount of light.
Sidasco - An enlarging spell.
