Wacky Writers
Yes, that’s correct folks! Wacky Writers is back! Did you miss it? I know I sure did! Are you ready for this month’s wacky writer’s prompt? Here goes…
There are many people in the world who don’t have the basic essentials to survive such as a house, or even food or clothes. They rely on shelters, churches and synagogues for those resources.
Put your characters into the shoes of someone who has less than they do. What is your character thankful for? Better yet, what can your character do to help someone who is much less fortunate than he/she is? What is the reaction of both the character and the person they offer to help?
Six Sentence Madness
Six Sentence Madness, was inspired by the world wide phenomena called Six Sentence Sunday. For those who don’t know what Six Sentence Sunday is, it’s where authors help promote other authors by posting the first six sentences of the other author’s book or short story on their blog. I am taking it a step further.
I want to help each and every one of you authors out there by advertising your books right here in this magazine. In order to do that, I need those who would be interested, to email me the name of their book, and the first six sentences of it. You may also send me an optional book cover, along with book purchasing information.
I am accepting submissions for Six Sentence Madness until April of 2012. To participate, please submit the required info to
[email protected] Flash Fiction
Want to write something, but don’t have the time to write anything long? Why not participate in some Flash Fiction? The object of the game is to write a short story or poem based off of a photo that I will provide. The piece should be less than 500 words. There will be a new flash fiction piece every month.
