Operation You've Got To Be Kidding Me
I had always wondered what Hell was like, mostly because I wasn’t planning on a road trip to the inferno falls if you know what I mean. Apparently I didn’t do a good enough job. Who knew that Hell meant stifling darkness. Your own personal hole that reeked of rot and filth. Rats scuttling around me. It wasn’t much of a traditional hole. No. More like a square but I wouldn’t have been able to tell except for the fact that I was sitting up against one wall, and my legs were crammed against another and my hands on my lap could feel the other two walls pressing in on either side of my body. If this was Hell then what did I do to deserve this? Abruptly a blinding light attacked the darkness around me, a loud screeching noise accompanying it. A man’s awful face appeared above me smirking down at me with cruel eyes, and I realized that anywhere even death-especially death-was better than where I was now. I held my hand over my eyes as a shield from the blinding rays. Celcius Zenwaler's stupid head came into view.
“Get up useless brat,” He spat. Grabbing me by my arms and pulling me out of the hole. He lead me through another cinder block hallway. The hallway had metal doors on either side. he lead me to the second to last. He entered a code on the pad lock. I turned my head away using my peripheral vision to see the code. 89001013981 I so would have a hard time remembering that. He shoved me in. There was an eerie faint blue glow coming from a computer. On a metal table there were wires hooked from the computer to what looked like a stone slab with straps and some helmet looking thing. I gasped. I struggled in Celcius’ grip I swung my knee up to kick him and whirled around throwing my foot into his gut.
“Very good Parks but not good enough.” Celcius’ said grabbing my other arm and twisting both of them behind my back. Instead of bending forward trying to get free I knew that would only make it hurt so I arched my back into it. I used his grip to swing my leg up over my head pushing off with the other. Just as my foot was above my head something grabbed a hold and crushed it. I was being lifted into the air by a probably crushed leg. I looked up at my foot. A Metal claw had a hold of me dangling me from it’s grip. Something grabbed my wrists puling them above my head. It was another claw. It stretched me from top to bottom. I clenched my mouth shut tightly to keep from screaming. Not out of pain I had experienced worse but from sheer terror. There were six people dressed in white suits and goggles standing at the stone table. The claws arranged themselves over it. Then it lowered me to the table pinning me on to it. I writhed on the table against the straps they were putting on me. I tried to kick and thrash but it was no good when the metal claws released me I was strapped down. They strapped my arms down first securing it tightly then once they caught my legs they did those. One of the suited up people stuck a thick needle into my arm there was a large tank resembling thing that went up and down there was a clear liquid in it. I felt my body freezing up and everything started to get fuzzy. I went limp. Another suited person stuck the helmet on my head that had a big purple wire that was connected to the computers across the room that Celcius Zenwaler sat at with a giddy grin on his face like a child getting away with doing something against the rules, right under his parents nose. Ms. Bruce, stared stone faced next to him.
“The CIA was stupid for putting me in charge of the entire design of the first mind control machine. In fact I am not even sure if they use it. They said it was too, well, extreme.” Celcius said. Unfortunately I have never been able to see the long term results of one such machine. After all, I have been saving this particular machine for only the less co-operative students who come here. We use traditional brainwashing techniques on the others. Have you yet learned those techniques?” He asked. “Well of course you haven’t they haven’t been used in, well, century’s,” he laughed. “Number one: Assault on Identity. Number two: Guilt, self-betrayal, the breaking point, kindness, compulsion to confess, channeling of guilt, releasing of guilt, Progress and harmony, Final Confession and the glorious rebirth.” He droned.
“No, the minute I met you I knew you would be a different story. You would be the exact tool I need for my plans, the key to my hopes and dreams coming true but the hardest to get by far. We would need to use much more…modern techniques with you. Are you familiar with the difference between emotions and feelings, Ms. Parks? No? Emotions are something that aren’t from your heart, feelings on the other hand they influence your every move they are from the heart they are your personality so what does this have to do with the situation you are in now? What I am about to do is change your feelings so that they will influence you to act as I want you to. This is the closest thing any man has come to clones. My little minions as I like to call them. With you, everything is in my grasp. With you I can complete my plan for multi-government take over, with my very own army of teenage assassins. Imagine all the cleaning I can get done with you guys. Making the way for a new ruler, getting rid of those that don’t fit into my vision. Who will need governments when I am around? Imagine all that can come to pass with me at the helm?” he laughed.
“And how did you advertise that may I ask? I am not sure that the idea of being a spy would be much of a catch with most normal people in society. Don’t you need plenty of teenagers to call yourself an army?” I said.
“That my dear. Is the magic of marketing. It can be anything I think will appeal. To some a spy school, for others a school for the challenged, for most a school for unleashing the brilliant mind inside a child as I believe I called it. Although I believe there is nothing particularly brilliant about it,” he explained.
“You’re just a bit disgusting,” I said.
“You may think that now, but when this is through, I will be everything that matters,” he laughed.“Now shall we get on with it then? I am quite anxious to get started.”
“The CIA will-” I cut myself off.
“The CIA will what? Give me the very thing I needed to succeed?” He shrugged nonchalantly. ,“Hit it!” He said, walking around to the other side of the table. He shoved a helmet like mine on his head. Abruptly my body jolted like a pulse then it went limp again. What felt like a humming charge ran through my body starting at my head, numbing me to the bone. My head went completely limp on the table. I tried to keep my eyelids open. The humming continued. I could feel my brain going sluggish, I couldn’t form coherent thought. My eyes shut and I couldn’t open them again then a voice came into my head like a whisper. It got louder. Images swirled around my head. Me leading an army of teenagers. Me by Celcius Zenwaler’s side as he sat on his thrown. The humming got stronger as the words got louder. I was getting a monstrous headache. The images swirled feelings coming with them. Images continued to swirl around my head. They started to look right like it was all I could possibly want and need. Then I lost consciousness.
