see the past catching up
But blue-eyed Luca couldn’t resist
She never knew her parents
In a smoggy lens
She saw her family
Happy with a newborn blue-eyed baby
The Daughter of snow
Somewhere in the high mountains
Lived a Man and his Wife
Who never knew the bliss of parenthood
But one winter their wishes was granted
And a Daughter of snow was born
Their lives was filled with happiness
Until summer came along
Now every winter
They await for her return
Drifter
At the end of the bus lane
A girl gets off
Carrying all her hopes and dreams
She’s ran away
Hoping to live out her life
Not knowing how harsh it would be
Alone and cold
She wanders from place to place
Wishing for nothing more
Than to return home
Space station 50
Leaving Earth behind
Humans go into space
Space station 50 on route
To one of many corners of space
Lisa and Marc are separated
She on one ship
Him on Space station 50
Forever drifting away
Their love is pulled further apart
Only for cold space to fill the void
Dragon
Every month a girl is sacrificed
To appease a dragon
Fair Catrin knew her fate
Long before they heard the roars
Fearful she waits
As the dragon draws near
But the beast stares bewildered
At her beauty and elegance
Catrin returned safely
Always remembering
How she won a dragon’s love
50 seconds left
By the time Bob arrived
There was only 50 seconds
Before the bomb would go off
Covered in sweat he analyses
It’s a simple trigger mechanism
He needs to cut a wire
But which one?
Green or red?
There’s no time left!
He needs to decide!!!
Three…
Two…
One…
Red…
The time it took
It took eleven seconds
To see you among the crowd
Another three
To realise how beautiful you were
Twenty-eight seconds for me
To realise I wasn’t dreaming
Eight seconds for my heart
To be stolen
Fifty seconds
That’s the time it took
For me to fall in love with you
The origins of Timmy Teeth
Before life began
There wasn’t a single tooth
In the whole world
But soon teeth piled
Covering planets two miles high
But a lone child
Who had died among the teeth
Awoke as a god
And took the pearls away
To this day
He still sings
While taking teeth away
The Rabbit
Up in the night sky
Hangs the great moon
There lives a lonely rabbit
Pounding away
Making mochi for someone
Who will visit one day
Until then it pounds away
Hoping and hoping
For that someone to hurry
It doesn’t want to be alone anymore
Patiently waiting
While pounding away
Sleeping Guardian
Deep within a labyrinth
Lies an ancient ruin
Where there sleeps a princess
Waiting the years
For when Earth is ready
She silently slumbers until then
Trusted by the Past
To save the Future yet
She waits for the day
When the Sun may shine again
Until then
She slumbers
I am Monkey
I am Monkey
A king among beasts
Yet you laugh at me
You look down on me
From your castles built on sand
I ask thee
Who was it
That came down the trees first?
Man or Monkey?
Who was the first into space?
Man or Monkey?
I pity thee…
Reason
There must be a reason
Why we met
There must be a reason
Why our time together was so short
There must be a reason
Why I’m always alone
There must be a reason
For these tears
If there’s a reason
I don’t care anymore…
Because you’re no longer here
By your side
I don’t need anything else
But to be by your side
I want to be
Always by your side
Please forgive me
I’d swallow my sharp words
Tell me what I need to do
Won’t you grant this wish?
There’s nothing else I need
But to be by your side
I’m by your side
If the time comes
When you feel like giving up
Will my voice reach you?
If the time comes
When you need to cry
Will you cry on my shoulder?
I want nothing more
Than to make that fake smile
Into a real one
Until then
I’m by your side
Half a century alone
I’ve spent half a century loitering
Waiting for you to return
I’ve spent half a century dreaming
Pretending you’re still here
I’ve spent half a century crying
Because it’s unbearable without you
I’ve spent half a century apologising
Begging for your forgiveness
I’ve spent half a century alone
All alone
I’m sorry
I told you I’d protect you
I promised to make you happy
I wanted to save you
But I ended up making you cry
All these years alone
Pretending it was for your sake
I wanted to be with you always
But now we’re perfect strangers
For that
I’m sorry
Couldn’t we be happy?
Couldn’t we be happy?
Did fate bring us together
Just to break us apart?
I wanted nothing more
Than to see you smile
Everyday
So before we say our goodbyes
Let us forget
I hope and pray
Wouldn’t we be happy?
I’m waiting patiently
For that day
We meet again
What I want
I don’t want anything
You bought because you thought
I’d like it
I don’t want anything
You think I could need
I don’t want anything
You could bring with your hands
I just want to know
That you love me and need me
All I ever want
Is your love
Song
There’s no better feeling
Than finding that song
br />
That’s hidden inside
Someone’s heart
Everyone has a song
A harmony of tunes
Written by tears and joys
It’s not for everyone to hear
It’s shared only among
Family and friends
I hope to hear yours one day
Please listen to mine
Thank you!
Even if it’s a prank by the Gods
Or a joke done by Fate
Even if Cupid happened to miss
Or a tragedy written by Shakespeare
Whether it was coincidence
Or destined to happen
Just dumb luck
Or written in stone
For allowing me to meet her
I am thankful
He fired rainbows out of his eyes!
Robert came from space
He fired rainbows out of his eyes
But no one believed him
Not even the teachers
But one day
In a classroom fight
To save his beloved Clare
He fired rainbows out of his eyes
They now live happily ever after
Spreading rainbows
Throughout the skies
A simple stone
Under a tree
I found a nest
That held a dragon’s egg
Unable to find its mother
I took it home to look after
Days went by
Months went by
And soon I grew up
And in those years
I came to realise
All my love
For a simple stone
Long ago tears
Long ago I cried
For what reason
I cannot remember
But that wail stays with me
Echoing in the sleepless night
I wanted to silence that boy
Get him to smile
But now I’ve locked him up
And thrown away the key
Since then
I haven’t shed a single tear
Again
Maybe it’s because I have regrets
That I want to try things again
Maybe because I miss someone
That I want to rewind time
Rather than being honest
And finding courage to do what I wanted
I ended up always looking to the past
Once more
I will smile again
Realisation
We were always together
Laughing away
Until you smiled and looked at me
I was always unsure
It was foolish of me to think
I’d always be with you
It wasn’t until one day
On a train
Your smile was different
I realised finally
You meant a lot to me
Everyday life
It was unusual of me
To think so hard on the matter
I looked back at her
And wondered for a bit
For once I was unsure
On what to say
I sighed a small laugh
I never replied to her
When I think back
The answer was so clear
Goodbye
What happened to the good old days?
What happened to those endless joys?
It’s been forever since I last saw you
Fifty stories to last you your lifetime
Now comes to an end
I’ve gained some courage now
So, silently I utter
What I couldn’t say that day
Farewell
Goodbye

About the author
For those who are tragically obsessed, Nobo13 was born 1987 in Cambridgeshire. He spent four years doing a Physics degree but spend most of the time doodling and writing. Currently he is training to be a Science Teacher.
Nobo13’s pen name is derived from using his surname, just look above! His more unusual hobbies are collecting headphones, staring aimlessly out the window (which consumes much of his time) and messing about with musical instruments- at the moment these are ocarinas and ukuleles.
Please check out my website and my other works, thanks for reading!
