“Son, why are you home so early?” said a man.
“I’m sorry, Father, but I must go to…,” said General Kyros as he sat down at a table.
“So, your suspicions were correct. It’s really…?” his father looked sorrowful.
General Kyros interrupted with, “Yes, everything I’ve observed for so many years has turned out to be prophetic.” General Kyros got up and poured his father a cup of tea and handed it to him.
“You know, I always believed in you. I never once doubted you, even to this day,” his father said.
“I know, Father, I know. But, right now I’m not exactly sure what’s going to happen and so I’ve arranged transportation for you to go to Tongetto to stay with an old friend of mine that has recently retired from the military. You should be far enough away to remain safe… at least for now,” said General Kyros.
“You know I can’t do that, I can help you, and…,” said the man.
“No, Father. I know you want to help. But, in your condition, it’s not a good idea. So, pack up your things and let’s go, ok?” said General Kyros.
