“Got any suggestions?” he said.
She shook her head. “They should come from you.”
“Ah.” He rose and took her hands in his. “Well, in that case...”
She grinned up at him. “Aren’t you worried about being late for work?”
He smiled. “The boss cannot be late for work. By definition, starting time is when the boss gets there. And I’m the boss.”
“Oh! The sharp legal mind hard at work this early? Well, then?”
“This way, milady.”
He led her up the stairs to their bedroom, nudged her inside, and closed the door firmly behind them.
Bruno looked on with approval.
Maybe they’re not that stupid after all.
