The explosion rocked the TV crew as they continued to tape. The huge fireball filled the screens of every TV in the nation, and the sirens echoed in every living room.
“Oh my Gosh! Oh my Gosh!” Chet exclaimed. “Agent Bradley! Your witness has just committed suicide! What is this going to do to your investigation?”
“I was so close to solving this whole case!” Alan exclaimed as he shook his head. “If it wasn’t for that damn Sheriff, I would’ve had the whole gang in custody by now!”
The producer lifted her microphone and spoke into Chet’s earpiece. “We have to break for a few minutes so that we can get closer to the crash site. Go to a commercial.”
Chet turned to the camera. “Ladies and gentlemen, please stay tuned while we attempt to gain a better vantage point of the crash site. Now for a word from our sponsors.”
“Okay, we’re clear!” The producer yelled. Suddenly the whole crew cheered and slapped high fives, shook hands, and exchanged hugs. “Wow! What a shot!” One cameraman said. “I got every bit of it!”
“All right! Pack it up, let’s move!” Ordered the producer.
