His hands were shaking. He’d hoped writing the report would help calm him, give him perspective, but all it had done was point out the fact that he’d given Clem and the Dragon the huge opening necessary to start a pissing contest. One that could have, in very short order, dissolved into a war. And as good as they- CJ- was, he had no allusions about the fact that they would have been the first casualties. He wanted to strangle Clem, which was kind of an unnerving thought since he had the power to do so, easily.
The meeting had started out well enough. After meeting with Boris, Hugo had delivered a letter to the address the database said was the Dragon’s base of operations, requesting a meeting as soon as possible. Two days later was as soon as possible.
