(Exits after AGNES and EDNA. CLAIRE sits up, watches TOBIAS, as he stands for a moment, looking at the floor: silence)

There is a book out, I believe, a new one by one of the thirty million psychiatrists practicing in this land of ours, a book which opines that the sexes are reversing, or coming to resemble each other too much, at any rate.
