There was a slight pause, then Mrs. King said, “Listen! I believe the statue is whispering something to our young sleuth.”
As everyone became quiet, there was a strong gust of wind.
Mr. Holden smiled. “Did you hear that? I think the statue is saying ”Thank you, Nancy Drew, for giving me back my voice.’ ”
