Newly Exposed
“Oh, shit, don’t say another word; I’m out. Catch you later, man,” Scout patted my back and took off to his room.
“Heather?”
“She has bad breath, according to the guys, really brings down the mood, apparently,” Solo shrugged, looking a little guilty for pulling the Heather card.
“Poor girl, but what I really want to hear about is this little make out session and how I can become a make out partner.”
“Try never,” she said, while opening my door and leading me into my room. The walls were a slate grey and the furniture was stocky looking with black tones. White bedding practically floated on the California King sized bed, promising a good night’s sleep. The room was very modern and comfortable looking. I could get used to this.
I shut the door, so we were both closed into my room. She stood in the middle of the floor, with her hands behind her back and her eyes wide from the way I was closing in on her. I met her in the middle and stood before her, not touching her, but standing close enough to drive her crazy.
“Tell me, Solo, what is your favorite food?”
“That’s a weird question,” she responded, while giving me a strange look.
“No, it’s not. You said we could be friends; so, I’m trying to get to know my friend.”
She took a second to think, and then said, “It’s your first night here. Why don’t you take it slow…Axel. Catch me being friendly another night.”
With that, she started to walk out of my room, but before she left, I said, “Please, call me Adam.”
I thought he was going to put up a fight but instead, she smiled and said, “Only because you’re wearing a Storm Trooper shirt.”
“Hey,” she turned around again to face me while I spoke. “It’s a new place, I’m scared. Maybe you could hold me tonight, make sure I don’t have nightmares?”
She shook her head and laughed, “Snuggle up with Scout if you get scared. He should be a pretty good spooner.”
She gave me that gorgeous smile and walked away, leaving me alone in my brand new room.
Chapter Six
Solo
The dull thump of Nolly’s headboard ringing out in our small house kept me from being able to concentrate on my fan fiction. I was a closet reader of fan fiction; I couldn’t help it. I had to find out what other infatuated fans like me thought about when it came to Ryan Gosling, and right now, he was up to no good in some girl, Kerri’s bed. I wanted to picture the way he glided his hand up to Kerri’s “bosom”—just call it a tit—but Nolly was being too damn loud.
“Ugh,” I groaned, as I got up off the couch and headed out to the pool deck to sit on a lounge chair. All the guys were in the house, most likely getting Adam wasted beyond repair, so I had no need to worry about them coming outside, especially since I saw some female forms crossing the windows.
I dabbled a little in writing my own fan fiction, but for some reason, it always turned into Ryan Gosling killing Luke Skywalker with a light saber. I knew it was because, in my mind, Luke was a whiny little bitch and someone had to take care of him, and who else but Ryan Fucking Gosling? He could slay a Jedi with the flex of his ab muscles; he was that good.
I made a mental note to look into abs that could kill, literally, and pulled up Netflix on my computer. I was behind on some episodes of The Office. I was that person who watched everything after it was popular because I didn’t have cable. Nolly, on the other hand, had a satellite practically growing out of her ears; she was addicted to TV…reality shows being her poison of choice. She would tell me all about the latest reality star drama, and I would just nod my head and smile at her.
I was about to put my ear plugs in and dabble in some Steve Carell comedy when Nolly came sauntering toward me with a robe twisted around her freshly fucked body and a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. So cliché.
“Holy hell, that man knows what he’s doing in bed,” Nolly said, while lighting her cigarette and sitting on the end of my lounge chair, forcing me to move my legs.
“How many times have I told you smoking is terrible for you?”
“Listen,” she puffed out smoke into the air and turned to me. “After you fuck a man like that, the only thing you can do is take a long drag off of a cigarette. I don’t smoke all the time, just after my brain has been scrambled by a man.” She leaned forward and looked around before speaking. “I’m not kidding…I think he touched my cervix.”
“Gross,” I turned away and adjusted my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pajama bottoms.
“Why are you wearing those?” Nolly pointed out my comfy pants that she hated.
“Because wearing lingerie to bed is not my thing, and you know that. Plus, I prefer to walk around here with clothes on when there are prying eyes around.”
“It’s flattering,” she shrugged her shoulders.
“It’s annoying. I don’t need to be ogled every time the guys come around. Plus, I don’t have ex-boyfriends to make jealous.” Technically.
“Only three ex-boyfriends,” Nolly said defensively. “Levi is far too closed off to even get close to, Scout is not my type, and well, I haven’t tried anything out with Adam yet,” she smiled, making my jealousy kick in.
“Adam isn’t your type either,” I said, while scrolling through my Facebook feed.
“How is he not my type? If you ask me, he would be amazing in bed. He has this whole shy act going on, but I bet he is an alpha when you get him alone and naked.”
I just nodded and stared at my computer, trying to ignore the fact that I wanted to throat punch Nolly for talking about Adam.
“You know, Blaze is hot and all, but I think I might try getting Adam alone. After seeing him in his underwear the other day, that package is all I can think about. I bet his…”
“Nolly, stop!” I said, while shutting my computer and growing frustrated.
Nolly burst out in laughter and patted my knee. “I knew it; you like him. It’s all over your face when he’s around. And I’m going to be honest with you, I think you two would be beyond adorable for each other. I can see it now, little Solo and Adam babies walking around with their taped up glasses and comic books under their arms.”
“Hey, they wouldn’t be nerds.” I hit her shoulder.
“Ha! You’re already planning out your kids.”
“I am not,” I said, looking around. “And, can you keep your voice down? I don’t need you spreading rumors about Adam and me. He’s a cool guy, yes, and he is different, but he also works for Teeg Models, Nolly. You know I don’t dip in the company ink…anymore.”
“You should,” Nolly took another puff of her cigarette. “You’re missing out big time, sweetheart.”
“There you are,” came a deep male voice from our little house.
Blaze came walking up to us in a pair of jeans and a tight black T-shirt. His blond hair stuck out at all ends, most likely from Nolly, and his eyes were glazed over with lust for the girl sitting next to me in a thin silk robe.
“Hey, handsome, I thought you were going to take a shower?” she said, while standing and ruffling his hair.
“Decided against it. You have a bunch of girly soap in there. I can’t be smelling like you.”
“Nothing wrong with that,” Nolly kissed his jaw.
“When I have to meet with the guys, there is something wrong with smelling like a lady.”
“You don’t have to go; you can stay with me.”
“You know I would love to, beautiful, but it’s poker night.” He pecked her on the cheek and said, “I’ll call you.”
He gave me one glance, smiled, and took off. Nolly sighed and sat back down on the lounge.
“God, he’s a specimen. I mean, just look at that ass,” Nolly said, while waving at him.
He had a nice ass, but I’d seen a better one, and it was currently in the main house with a bunch of idiots. I looked over at the house and saw the silhouettes of women draping their bodies over men, and I wondered if one of them was Adam, not
that I cared because I didn’t, but I just wondered.
“I don’t even think he’s left his room yet,” Nolly said, while putting out her cigarette on the concrete of the pool area.
“What?” I asked, shaking my head out of my Adam haze.
“Adam, I don’t think he’s left his room yet. I know that’s what you were thinking, wondering if he was hanging out with all those girls.”
“I was not,” I sounded less convincing than I wanted to.
“Oh, please, Solo, I know you better than you think I do. I don’t know why you’re torturing yourself. Just give him a chance; he’s not like the other guys. He’s different.”
“I know he is, and that’s what makes me nervous. What if he really is a good guy and I fall for him?”
“What’s wrong with that?”
“Umm, how about the fact that he is a Teeg model and once we introduce him to the world, women are going to be practically dry humping his legs and begging to be with him. It happens with every new model. I don’t think I can become attached to the man and watch women throw themselves at him. I’m a jealous bitch and you know it. I would cause a scene,” I laughed and so did Nolly.
“That you would, but are you really going to throw away something that could be amazing because of jealousy?”
“Not just because of jealousy, Nolly, and you know that. I’m just not one to be in the spotlight, and with Adam, or any Teeg models, they are in the spotlight. I don’t want to get harassed by media and fans.”
“I can understand that. Just makes me sad, you know. Adam is a different kind of special. He is grounded, as if he’s been through a whole other life and learned from it before he came to us. He is sweet and he makes you smile. I like that about him.”
“Me too,” I answered candidly. I looked over at the house and said, “I wonder what his story is. He keeps saying he needs the money and couldn’t be more excited about getting a thousand dollar signing bonus, which is chump change and Zia knew it when signing him on. She could see he was desperate. Why do you think he is?”
“Hmm, I don’t know. Maybe he has a gambling addiction and needs to pay off his bookies.”
I looked over at Nolly and gave her the “yeah, right” look. “Adam doesn’t seem like the kind to have a gambling addiction.”
“They never do, Solo.”
“It’s not a gambling addiction,” I said sternly, making Nolly put her hands up in defense.
“Alright, so he’s not shaking hands with the one arm bandit, then what else could it be?” Nolly thought for a second before saying, “Maybe he grew up in Compton, oooh, he was part of a gang and is trying to earn drug money for his peeps.”
“No.”
“Needs money for his porn addiction?”
“Does he look like he would be obsessed with sex?”
“Would that be a terrible thing?”
“No to porn addiction.”
“Okay,” Nolly continued. “Oh, I got it! He needs money for the renovations he wants to make on the brothel he is running out in the valley.”
“What is wrong with you?”
Nolly laughed and said, “Like I said, the dick scrambled my brain tonight. Can’t help it.”
“I think it’s time you say good night.”
“Have it your way,” Nolly stood up and looked down at me. “I will tell you this, I think Adam was meant for you. I see the way you look at each other, make each other laugh, and share your nerdy things. If I were you, I would give him a chance. That’s all I’m saying.”
Nolly walked back to the house, leaving me with thoughts of what the hell I was going to do about Adam. I wasn’t going to deny my feelings. I liked him, for sure, but I wasn’t one to lay my heart on the line. Plus, there was something dark about him, something mysterious that scared me. I was going to stick with what I originally told him, we were going to be just friends.
Chapter Seven
Adam
“Dude, are you going to leave your room, ever?” Scout asked, as he stood in the doorframe of my room.
“I just got all my stuff out of my car. I need to unpack,” I responded, trying to avoid the party that was downstairs. It wasn’t really my scene.
“You have all the time in the world to unpack tomorrow. You won’t have any shoots to go to because you’ll need to go through all your consultations, so set your suitcase to the side and come downstairs. You need to meet the other guys, and there are some pretty hot pieces of ass downstairs as well.”
I turned to look at Scout and took a deep breath. “Listen, I appreciate you wanting to make me a part of the gang, but parties really aren’t my scene. I don’t drink that much and random girls hanging all over me is not my thing either.”
Scout eyed me up and down and then nodded. “Oh, I get it. Enough said. Never would have guessed you were gay, but I guess I shouldn’t stereotype. You should still come meet the guys.”
“I’m not gay,” I said quickly. “I like women.”
“Ohhhkay, so do you have a girlfriend or wife?”
“No.”
“Then why the hell don’t you want women hanging around you?”
“I just…” my hand pulled on the back of my neck, while I tried to find a way to explain my reasoning to Scout.
Before I got a chance to tell him why, he looked at me funny, and then started laughing. “Wait, do you have a thing for Solo?”
Feeling myself go red, I nodded my head and tried to avoid eye contact.
Scout laughed some more and then came over to me and grabbed my shoulder. “Come on, man, there is no way in hell you’ll be tapping that. She is completely off limits, and not by our choice. She wants nothing to do with us. Its best you let go of that dream now because it’s never going to happen; trust me. She’s a no go, hot as hell, but a no go.”
I hated that Scout was right. I had the distinct feeling Solo was very good at hanging on to her morals, and that meant I probably should go ahead and enjoy myself, because the little brunette that had a huge impact on me in a matter of minutes was going to turn out to be a disappointment.
Instead of finishing up my unpacking, I decided to let loose and have a little fun. If I was going to live in a house full of guys, I better get to know them.
I followed Scout downstairs and into the kitchen, where all the guys were hanging around the kitchen island. Each guy had a girl wrapped around his body, except for one of the models who was sitting in a chair at the kitchen nook with a beer in his hand and a somber look on his face.
I could see why women were scattered around the house; it was one giant meat fest within the stucco constructed walls. I’m able to admit when I see an attractive man, and it was evident that I was living in a house full of them.
“Guys, this is Adam, aka, Axel,” Scout announced.
“Hey!” all of them said, as they lifted their beers toward me.
“Take one,” a beefed up dirty blond-haired guy said. I thought I was muscular until I stepped into this room. Damn.
“I’m Ty,” the guy who handed me the beer said.
“Nice to meet you, Ty.”
“Holy shit, who brought Miss Manners into the room?” Ty said, as he slapped me on the back and then pinned the girl who was hanging all over him against the kitchen counter and started making out with her.
Okay.
A tall, defined guy with brown hair and a five o’clock shadow came up to me and held out his hand. “I’m Nikko.”
“I would say nice to meet you, but apparently that make me a prissy little lady, so I guess I’ll just say, eat a dick.”
Nikko stood there for a second and then looked around the room while he pointed his thumb at me. “I like this kid. You’ll fit in just fine,” he said to me while he chuckled.
“Gunner,” the guy whose massive dick was out and about earlier at the studio said. “I think we made brief eye contact earlier.”
“Well, your one eyed friend definitely made brief contact…”
&n
bsp; “Ha!” Scout busted out. “You got to see the king of dicks in action? You’re one lucky son of a bitch. It’s not every day you get to see a dick as big as an elephant’s leg pose like it’s the god damn king of the jungle in front of a camera.”
I looked Gunner up and down and said, “How do you even walk, man?”
Gunner threw his head back and laughed. “It’s called a dick sling, man. It straps around my neck, down my stomach and through my undercarriage. The damn thing has kept my balls high and my dick confined ever since I hit puberty and my burly log decided to grow for every guy in middle school. Consider it a bra, but for man junk.”
“Seriously?” I asked, while eyeing Gunner’s neck to see if I could see his penis bra.
“No!” Gunner busted out while laughing. “Fuck, you really think I would wear a bra for my dick?”
“I have no fucking clue,” I said back, while chuckling. “I was asked if I was into simulated sex during my interview; I pretty much will believe anything right now.”
“Shouldn’t have said that,” Scout shook his head. “You just put a huge target on your back, dude.”
“Ah, he’ll be fine,” Gunner said, while I turned my attention to the last guy I had to meet. “That brooding blond over there, that’s Levi. Don’t talk to him. He has been known to punch people to the ground for no reason.”
I couldn’t tell if Gunner was serious or not, but by the way Levi sat in the corner and didn’t smile when he was introduced, I was going to believe Gunner on this one. The guy looked completely disturbed and was giving off the “don’t fuck with me” vibe. Duly noted, leave Levi alone.
With a curt nod, Levi said, “Hi,” and then brought his beer bottle to his lips while looking out the window. A part of me wanted to go sit down and talk to him, but with the stiffness in his shoulders and the distance he put between him and everyone else, I chose to leave him alone. Probably a smart decision on my part.
A ringing echoed through the room and Ty pulled out his phone. He looked down at it for a second and said, “Oh, shit. Blaze totally just banged Nolly.”
