Chapter One
Hi I am Chrisell Parks, former beauty queen and real estate manager. I never believed a woman as smart, talented and pretty as I am would be telling such a story like this. Well I am now at home, jobless, nursing emotional and physical bruises from the fire that was started a few weeks ago. Well this fire started on the job and I believed that there was only one soul that could put this fire out. Well, he started my fire (by just being him - just a simple spark - that was all it took) and I just knew that he had to be the one to put it out.
This was a blaze I never knew I had; I just wished my fire was not extinguished in the manner in which it was.
Well, (ouch! These bruises and burns hurt) I can say that I have learnt two lessons:
Lesson one: Never mix business with pleasure – things just seem to get ugly.
Lesson Two:
“Well Jilean I think we should take the bungalow on Eastern River Road, it has a nice green lawn, a decent view of the lake, and this is all good for my writing inspiration.” Thames said as he hugged Jilean.
“Well, honey, I know it is a nice cabin, but I think it is just too far from the city and you know that is where life is for me.” Jilean replied as she kissed her husband on the forehead.
“Come on dear, that should not be an issue – we have a pickup truck, a SUV, my chopper and my sport car.” Thames replied.
“Let us look at the property on Rawl Boulevard – It is a three floor building with a swimming pool on each floor and we can have a great view of the city lights, how romantic.” She charmed.
At that statement Thames started to stare at his wife until she became uncomfortable.
“What is it, is something wrong dear?” she asked as she pulled her coat off allowing her blue tan top blouse to come to light of day.
“Well, I was thinking that we could, “he replied but, her smart phone rang before Thames could finish his sentence.
Thames only had only one thing on his mind but Jilean got so carried away into the phone call from one of her top client (G-Line clothing) that she actually ignored his ‘I need you now warning light’. Thames waited patiently for her telephone conversation to end so he could make his subtle request.
“Well great”, he said to himself, “she is now finished talking on the phone,” as he moved closer towards Jilean.
“Hmmmn, I think I know that look.” Jilean jibed as she noticed him coming towards her.
“Well, it is has been a few months since we..”
“I know honey but I feel too fat tonight, plus I have been so busy trying to get my new clothing line off the ground.” Jilean replied before he could finish his statement. Her smart phone rang again; it was the Silk Modeling Agency calling.
“Oh yes, they have gotten the best set of models for my new clothing line, aren’t you happy for me honey?”
“Oh sure I am,” replied Thames with pink sarcasm written all over his face.
Jilean Snowy (31) actually has her own clothes line company named Pink Mode which she has been running for the past year. It has really kept her busy as this has been an accomplished dream; this establishment has taken her across the globe as there seems to be worldwide acceptance of its offerings. One thing for sure, Jilean has had the emotional, physical and financial support from her husband – the affluent Mr. Thames Snowy (35). They have been married for three years and have been a lovely couple. The talented Mr. Thames Snowy was a top selling author and has composed and produced several film scores for several popular movies. Five of his novels have been turned into film and this made him one of the country’s wealthiest man under 40 years of age. Thames has been a wonderful husband and a sweetheart to his dear wife Jilean. He was loving, understanding, kind, civil and knew how to make her feel special. He was the type of husband who gave her the space whenever she needed it, and the type who would just not pressure for loving despite having a stronger drive than her in that aspect. There was just almost nothing to unlike about Thames, he was just one those few great husbands who happen to be wealthy yet humble. He made her wear the best clothes, drive the best cars, she has been really enjoying the good life.
Thames and Jilean both agreed that it was time to acquire a new manor and they solicited the services of a real estate broker to assist them in locating a property that would suit them both.
Chapter Two
“Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Snowy it is a pleasure to meet you, I am Miss Chrissel Parks and I am your real estate manager, you may both have a seat.”
“Oh thank you madam,” replied the Snowys as they were both impressed with the salutation from Miss Parks. The hearty handshakes made most persons comfortable.
“Oh you can call me Chrissel, anyone wants coffee?”
Chrissel (25) was tall, curvy, petite built, had brown hair, brown eyes and wears well a caramel complexion that glowed. Mrs. Snowy was good looking, well put together and sassy but Chrissel was just a darn pretty woman. Chrissel was well attired too - She wore a grey tweed jacket suit which accentuated her curvy structure; despite heels that added an extra 7 inches to her almost 6 feet and a skirt that seemed three quarters of it size, Chrissel really looked professional and potent.
“Wow, this man lights my fire with simple sparks- his handshake, his smile, is lips. I wish he knew the terrible things he is doing to me. I have been around so many available wealthy blokes with good looks, why am I falling for a married fellow with an average look? He is happily married I am not supposed to think of him like this-plus his dear wife is right beside him and I am not that type of girl. How do I keep it professional when the guy sitting in front of me has me trying how to figure out how to get my limbs all over him. I don’t even know this guy-unless we have met before in some other life or some dream, but the voltage from his handshake has left disturbed molten lava inside of me anxious to surface. I wish I could just steal him away and take him to my secret nest of love. No! I have to keep it professional, I sell properties and I am not a strumpet.”
These were the thoughts that kept flowing through Chrissel’s mind as excused herself to the restroom while leaving the couple with a full colored brochure of fine properties for their perusal.
Totally oblivious of what he has caused, Mr. Snowy gave her a stare through the corner of his eyes as she exited the room, while Mrs. Snowy immediately fel
l in love with the brown and white manor on Elk’s Street which she saw in the brochure.
“Oh this house is so gorgeous honey; I believe we definitely need to take a look at it today.”
“It is ok, but we can take a look at this cabin on Pear River Drive which is about 52 miles away,” replied Thames as he flipped through another page of the colorful brochure.
“But dear, I don’t like bungalows plus it is a long and lonely ride from the city, and remember I have a meeting with the Silk Modeling Agency in an hour – I just have to see who will be wearing my new clothing line,” Jilean replied as she held on to his arms.
“OK we will look at the property on Elk’s Street and we will use another day to look at the property on Pear River Drive,” Thames replied in disappointment.
“No you can visit Pear River Drive after we visit Elk’s Street but I won’t be able to make it,” she comforted.
“But I wanted my wife to be there with me!”
“Just take pictures and we’ll look through them when you get home.”
Chapter Three
“I don’t believe this, on entering the room I am beginning to yearn for this man again. Who the heck is he; does he have a clue what he is doing to me? I hope I don’t have to shake those hands again – I know my body will detonate; at 8:15a.m it is getting really too hot and humid in here.”
“So have you decided which properties you’ll look at today?” Chrissel enquired pleasantly as she re-entered the room.
“We will go look on the property located at Elk’s Street now but I won’t be able to view the other property at Pear River Drive as I have a meeting in an hour. My husband really wants to see that property at Pear River Drive, would you be kind enough to take him there?”
“Oh well, sure Mrs. Snowy that would be not a problem, I am terribly sorry you could not come with us, but I am sure he will like it there as it so cool, calm and quiet over there and he gets a splendid view of the blue lake,” remarked Chrissel as they were getting ready to visit the property at Elk’s Street.
“Is this woman serious? She just cannot be serious; this is too good to be true. Is she just going have me going to the quiet and calm Pear River Drive with her gorgeous husband? Does she have a clue of the top ten things that go through my mind whenever I look on the lips of her husband? To all the powers that be, please don’t let him shake my hand again – at least whenever his wife is around. Does this woman know what she has? I honestly believe that she is wasting this guy. I’ll just hurry up and ensure that she gets to her pressing meeting on time.”
These thoughts kept going through Chrissel’s mind as she transported them to the first location. Mr Snowy sat in the back seat while his wife sat in the front with Chrissel; she kept glancing at Mr Snowy through the rear view mirror. She realized that he noticed and seemed quite uncomfortable as they kept seeing each other’s eyes through the rear view mirror of the car.
“Does this woman knows me or anything about me – why is she staring at me like that?”
That was the thought that ran through Thames mind as he sat there in the back seat. Their eyes connected again, it seemed as if the rear view mirror was a port where both pair of eyes would meet as they docked the same time. He wanted to ask her what was it but he thought it would be more professional to just give her a polite smile, which he did.
“Oh crap!” she said to herself as she noticed his smile. “Does he have to smile? Does he know what he is starting up? I think this man is also desperate; this woman has not been taking care of her husband- I can just tell. Can I have him for a day please- just a single day? Just a single day with him and he will no longer be hers.”
They eventually reached the property at Elk’s Street where they got out of the car one by one. Mrs. Snowy got out first as she had been enthused about the property. Upon getting stepping out of the car Chrissel inadvertently (or purposefully) dropped her portfolio which caused her pen, tablet computer and papers to fall to the ground. Thames wanted to be polite and courteous but was not sure how to respond to Chrissel’s slouching downwards to pick up her stuff as this revealed much more of her long pair of caramel shaded legs. Well luckily Jilean was already at the door of the huge brown house as she was all too excited about it the never realized what had happened.
“Oh thank you, you are a gentleman,” Chrisell acknowledged as Thames slouched downward and assisted her with retrieving the items that were scattered on the ground. She gave him a glaring smile as she focused her brown eyes on his trembling lips when she noticed his eyes’ five seconds fixation on the lighter colored area of her caramel thighs.
“Well this is all yours sweet heart, I just know you want this; you have started my fire and you’ve got to put it out.” These thoughts ran through her head as they both got up and headed to meet Jilean who was at the door just ready and waiting to get inside the enormous house. Chrissel lead the way as they walked towards Jilean; this gave Thames the only other option of walking backwards if he preferred not to see how her slim curvy body moved in her grey suit as she congenially made her steps ahead of him.
“Buying a new house can be a lot of pressure,” he mumbled to himself as he really planned to make this a professional encounter and nothing else despite been ignored by his wife in recent times.
“Wow, these walls are beautiful, the décor is so nice, “Jilean commended while giving Thames a hugh kiss on his forehead as they went from room to room.
“Thames, I really believe this is the house that we should buy.”
“Do you have kids?” Chrissel enquired.
“Well no-whenever the right time comes, “quipped Jilean as held on to Thames.
“Well I believe this house would be just too large for just the both of you – don’t you think?”
“Well, Miss Parks that is really not an issue!” Jilean jibed as she gave Chrisell a lowering look.
Being the professional that she is or trying to be Miss Parks gave her a smile of enthusiasm.
“And you can get a great view of the city from this window – just what you wanted Mrs Snowy,” Chrissel continued.
“Oh very nice, we could spend hours up here,” Thames interjected in an effort to quell the fire between the two women. He really did not like the house and thought it was too huge for just one couple, plus it would do nothing for his writing or film score composition.
Chapter Four
“I wish this woman had a clue as to the plans I have for her unfed husband. I can tell how starved he is just by the way he watches me; I think I know what he wants to do to me.”
These were the thoughts that flowed through Chrissel’s head as she transported them back to her office so that Mrs. Snowy could go off to her meeting.
“Hope you enjoy your trip Thames, take pictures of the house and call me when you reach back.”
“Ok dear, I know your meeting will work out fine as you are great at what you do,” Thames replied as she gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
“Well, I’m not sure about that; just look at those lips the guy is carrying look at that smile that he gives her, is that all this cocotte could do?” Chrissel asked herself as she watched the crummy demonstration of affection between them both. “Ewuue!”
Chrissel then headed off to Pear River Drive with Mr Snowy, the man who for some uncanny reason, she just couldn’t keep her mind off – no matter how hard she tried. She knew it would be one of the most uncomfortable trips for her. They travelled for fifteen minutes of the one our journey without saying a thing to each other, they both really needed to play it safe.
“I wonder what the heck this girl is up to, I am totally confused, does she want my money? Probably I am just a bit too harsh to think like that. I really think she is attractive though; trust me, buying a house can be so much pressure.”
Chrisell kept her hands on the steering wheel and looked straight ahead of her as she could not look at what she has ever wanted so badly without touching. Despite the clear access she h
as to this man she knew that it was so important to keep it professional, plus they have only met for approximately two and a half hours – they were perfect strangers.
“This just cannot be real, this must be a trap or something, who is this man? I have to just hide my face from him, cause if I don’t I am going to kiss him. I wonder if he thinks about me the way I think about him. I wonder if he has the slightest clue of the top ten things I wish for him to do to me and the top twenty favors that I am going to return to him. This bloke really has my engine revved up I feel like I am ready to blow pistons up in here!”
“I think this girl is irresistible, I am so intrigued by the color of her eyes, the hue of her skin and the contours of her curves. I could write an entire novel making her the only character. Come on, I got to keep this professional, I have got to keep this professional, I have a beautiful wife and a great marriage but I just feel a bit lonely at times as my wife has been very busy promoting her clothing line. I just need to keep my eyes and my mind off Miss Parks.”
