Silence
Nothing but silence, for weeks on end
Silence
Nothing but silence, causing the mind to bend
Silence
Nothing but silence, do I dare press send?
Dot dash dot
Please, answer me!
Dot dash dot
Please, can't you see!
Dot dash dot
Please, turn me into we!
Alone
Everyday, surrounded by four walls
Alone
Everyday, hoping someone calls
Alone
Everyday, I walk these empty halls
Friend
I am, a lonely man
Friend
I am, my only fan
Friend
I am, without a clan
Hope
I see, a short reply
Hope
I see, he's a little shy
Hope
I see, he said, bye

Technical Aspect: Several words are left blank; the reader must choose words from the word pool to complete the poem. Some of the words do not fit in anywhere.
Explanation: Broken, in essence, is a reflection on the inherent human nature and how much we depend on personal perspective in order to make sense of our world. Whereas some might see a vase, others might see a face. In the same vein, each person will naturally be drawn to using certain words in certain places, based on their personal history, views on love and loss, and their worldly perspective.
From a subject matter point of view, this Technical Poem illustrates the broken feeling that is left after one has lost a loved one and the slow road to recovering from heartbreak.
Below I have included my personal interpretation of Broken, however, I do not claim it to be the only true version. I hope that the poem that you have created with my words gives you some insight into your personal feelings on love and heartbreak, and how perspective helps to shape our worldview.

Fairy Lights
Think back, to a time of wonder
ho Ho ho
do you rEmember him?
how about mrS teeth-taker
when the Tooth came loOse, the fun began
and who can foRget the lovIng Egg-bunny?
So what iF they were fAntasies?
so what if they Did not Exist?
and they said, But yoU are a child no more
a man cannoT Think of His fablEs
Must we All Grow old?
to be young Is to be Captivated by the unseen
no, they WhIspered, Lock away those Lies
And in Little time, they Will disAppear
trY to remember those fableS
RemembEr your Mind
recAll your childhood
the red suIt, the money beneath the pillow
do so, and let the magic back into your miNd
Technical Aspect: Various letters are capitalized throughout the poem. Arranging them in order will reveal a hidden message.
Explanation: I was a kid once (and according to my friends and family, I still am one) and just like most other kids, I believed in the classics. A jolly man in a red suit who gave out presents to well-behaved children? Check. A bunny that went around hiding chocolate eggs? Check. A fairy who took our teeth in exchange for coins? Check.
But somewhere along the way, those stories became just that, stories. To be a child is to believe in the unbelievable. This poem is a dedication to those days, and a wish that some of that magic might still exist inside us.
This hope is given form in the hidden message, which, if you decoded it correctly, should look like this:
The stories fade, but the magic will always remain
