Page 16 of About Last Night

“Wrap your legs around me,” I panted, keeping my pace.

Her legs lifted, hoisted on my hips, and she gasped at what the change in position had done for her pleasure. Gripping my shoulders, a low groan started in her throat and I knew she was there. Reaching for her hips, I gripped them and drove into her like a madman. “That’s it, baby. Almost there,” I hissed out through gritted teeth.

I thrust, ground, and plowed into her, and the harder I did it, the tighter her pussy became. Then suddenly, her back bowed. Clutching at me, her eyes closed, her face became pained and her pussy jerked around my sheathed cock. Her back slumped and she kept coming, shuddering and gasping for breath, before she moaned long and low in her throat.

Her legs drooping off my hips, I placed my hands under her hips, lower until I gripped her ass, squeezing and kneading as I worked myself to release. My thrusts became jerky, and soon, I was overwhelmed by the feel of her. I drove in again, once, twice, then stilled inside of her, body unyielding, jaw set, panting and growling through gritted teeth. Warm spurts of cum filled the condom and I collapsed, my face buried in the space between her breasts.

Breathing heavily, I sluggishly wrapped my arms around her, panting at her skin, hoping I wasn’t too heavy for her. I mustn’t have been, because she entwined her legs with mine, lifting her hands to run her fingers through my hair.

A moment of realization shook me.

There was no place I would rather be than in Maya’s arms.

  Chapter Twenty-Four

  Mia

  Sex.

Who knew it would be so amazing?

I was banking on it being enjoyable. I was definitely not expecting mind-blowing, heart-pounding, and utterly blissful.

As far as first times go, I think mine was pretty darn good. Sure, it hurt like a bitch, but when the pain subsided, all that was left was intense pleasure.

Or it could’ve just been the man delivering said sex.

Quinn was currently running a bath for me. I declined, but he insisted it would ease the aches in my body. What he didn’t know was that I wanted those aches. Those aches were proof I was touched. Proof that I was officially a woman in every way.

But as I sat up, pulling a sheet over me, I winced at the soreness between my legs. Quinn did not miss this. Stomping naked to the bathroom, he stated I would be going into that bath or he would be putting me into the bath himself.

Rolling my eyes, I gave in. And when I did, frowny Quinn turned into grinning Quinn. Both Quinn’s were fine, but when Quinn smiled, he made my heart skip a beat.

He walked out of the bathroom with a white robe on. “Bath’s ready. Need help getting in?”

I shook my head, pushing my chaotic hair behind my ear. “No, I can do it.”

Standing with the sheet, I walked into the bathroom, and before I even saw the bath, I smelled it. Rose, citrus, and vanilla assaulted my nose in the best way, and then I saw the bath and gaped.

It was not a bath. It was a Jacuzzi. Anyone who has ever been in a Jacuzzi knows the difference. There was no comparison.

Dropping the sheet, I clipped my hair up, climbed into the not-too-hot water, and immersed myself into the cloud-like bubbles. The moment I lay back, I closed my eyes and sighed in ecstasy.

Quinn was right. I felt all the tension ease out of my body.

My brows bunched as I felt someone leaning over me. Opening my eyes, a smiling Quinn stood by the Jacuzzi. “Thought you’d want some company.”

Before I could answer with a sultry, ‘Then why don’t you join me?’ he lifted his hands and dropped the three rubber duckies he bought me into the tub. At the look on my face, he chuckled then placed something on the edge of the tub. I glanced over at it. PH neutral soap. Actually, it read ‘intimate wash’.

He uttered a gentle, “That won’t sting when you wash your…you know.”

I looked up at him, a baffled expression on my face. “You’ve thought of everything, haven’t you?”

He shrugged. “I might’ve Googled what I would need after deflowering a poor helpless maiden.”

I barked out a laugh. “You are too much, M—” Oh, shit. I almost called him Matt. “…my friend. Too much.” Phew. Good save.

He started to walk out when he spun back and asked, “Hey, do you mind if I shower while you’re in there?”

My lips puckered as I thought. Hell, we’d kissed, I sucked his man meat, he ate me like a last meal, and then he screwed my brains out. Did I mind him showering in my proximity?

No. No I did not. I shrugged. “Sure.”

Matt Quinn winked at me, undid his robe, and then let it fall to the ground in a puddle at his feet. I fought the urge to gasp. I didn’t think I would ever get used to seeing a man like this naked. Every single time, it was like being presented a gift. Perhaps this was a bad idea. Had I spoiled myself by having a god of a man take my maidenhead?

Would I ever look at a ‘regular’ man in the same way?

I started to panic. What if no man would compare to Matt Quinn? What the hell was I supposed to do then?

Blinking down into my bath, I touched my lips with my fingertips and muttered a hushed, “Oh, shit.” What had I done?

Quinn looked at my face and, still gloriously buck naked, asked, “Hey, you okay?”

My response was five decibels louder than it needed to be. “Fine.” He jolted at my unexpected shout. I chuckled nervously then swallowed hard, responding much quieter, “Fine, sorry. I was just thinking.”

Smiling down at me, he shook his head and stepped into the shower.

My relaxing bath became anything but that as I watched him shower, sliding soap up and down his tight, strong body. I watched water trickle down those long muscular legs of his, and I was near panting at the erotic scene. I was a little peeved when it came time for him to wash his penis. I was peeved, because he turned away from me to do it.

I pouted. My pout was replaced by stunned awe as I got a good look at his soaped-up taut ass. My eyes snapped shut.

Dear Lord, please forgive me for being a harlot. I swear it was only a one-time thing. I’m not normally this whore-ish.

  “How are you feeling, Maya?”

Eyes open, I responded honestly and with a soft smile, “Great. Really great. And thoroughly deflowered.”

Quinn chuckled. “Good. That’s what I’m here for.” A short pause, then, “Are you heading out or staying a while?” Immediately, my mood darkened. Was this his way of asking me to get out of his space? I knew the hour allocated had long since passed and was bordering three, but he told me not to watch the clock.

My chest squeezed as I opened my mouth to tell him I’d leave as soon as my bath was over, but he cut me off with, “Because I ordered a dessert platter and hot chocolate, and I was hoping you’d stay a while.”

As soon as my heart re-commenced beating, I answered a stunned, “I love dessert.”

I could hear his smile as he uttered, “Good, I was betting on it.” Then he added on a chuckle, “I mean, really. Who doesn’t like dessert?”

Before I could think, I stated, “No friend of mine.”

Quinn’s laughter warmed me. “That’s my girl.”

I bit my lip and breathed through the affect his words had on me.

A minute later, he stepped out of the shower, and if I’d thought a dry Quinn was incredible, a wet Quinn could easily make me swoon. Standing on the bath mat, he stretched a moment, and I was drawn in like a moth to a flame. Water droplets sluiced down his body as he ran his hands through his hair before taking a towel and drying off.

I shook my head as if to clear it. This wasn’t normal, was it? This was far too intimate a setting for two people who had just met. Surely, there was something wrong with this picture. And why was my heart beating like a drum?

  Stop that, heart!

Quinn dried, put his robe back on, and then left the bathroom. He called out, “There’s a robe behind the bathroom door, babe.”

  “Thanks,”
I responded faintly, still lost in my thoughts.

After soaking my sore body in the tub for a good half-hour, I rose, letting the water out and drying myself off, as well as my rubber duckies. I smiled as I wiped them down. I meant what I said earlier. I would cherish them always.

Making my way to the door, I removed the robe from the hook and put it on. It was clearly made for a man Quinn’s size, because I was swimming in the damn thing. As soon as I stepped out, Quinn looked up from his place on the bed and gasped, “She’s alive!”

  I snorted. “Oh, ha-ha.”

He rubbed his hands together. “Are you hungry? I’m hungry. Let’s eat.”

He stood as I sat on the bed, bringing forward a room service cart. Something caught my eye on the bed and, horrified, I gasped. “Oh, God. Oh no!”

Leaving the cart, Quinn rushed over, clearly worried. “What, Maya? What?”

My face miserable, I blinked away tears. “There’s blood on the sheets.” I sniffled. “Now everyone will know what a harlot I am. The maids will talk about how much of a ho I am then they’ll tell the cooking staff, and before you know it, the entire city will know.”

The bed depressed. An arm wrapped around me and pulled me into a shaking body. “Baby, no.” He tried to conceal his amusement, but he failed hardcore.

I nudged him roughly with my shoulder. “Don’t laugh at me, Quinn.”

He feigned hurt. “Ow. Okay, okay. But seriously, this is not even a thing. Don’t even worry about it. Do you know how many newlyweds come to this hotel? They’ll just chalk it up to thinking we were just married.”

  Newly married…to Matt Quinn.

  Holy shit.

I swiped at my eyes and took a deep breath. “You’re right.” I nodded to myself. “Yeah, you’re right.” I turned to him and tried to smile. “You can feed me now.”

He pulled me into his warm body then placed a kiss on my forehead. “At your service, m’lady.” The room service tray was parked right at my feet. When Quinn started to remove the coverings on the silver trays, I gasped.

Desserts as far as the eye could see.

Oh, Lord, I was in Heaven.

Bite-sized pieces of chocolate mud cake with streaks of chocolate sauce, tiny banana caramel pie, and even tinier lemon meringue pie, red velvet cake piled with cream cheese frosting, carrot cake with caramel frosting. Oh, my stars. If I were to die tonight, I’d welcome it knowing that this was the best day of my life.

Then he walked over to the mini bar fridge. “There’s one more. I had to special order this one.”

As soon as I saw the ramekin, I gulped. “Don’t tell me that’s a—” When it was in seeing distance, I threw myself back on the bed. “Sweet Jesus, it is.” Lifting myself onto my elbows, I uttered an awe-filled, “Crème brûlée. You sneaky shit.”

He sat next to me, grinning. “I remembered.”

I shook my head. “You remembered.” I hadn’t planned on doing what I was about to do, but I did it anyways. Wrapping my arms around him from the side, I placed my lips on his cheek and kissed the stubble there. “Thank you, Quinn. This is the best day ever.”

His arm came around my shoulders and he pulled me to his side. He held me a while before muttering a very genuine, “The pleasure was all mine.”

I took the crème brûlée and a spoon and tapped it on the top. Hearing the crust crackle was all it took for a blissful smile to grace my face and my nipples to pucker. I dug in and brought the spoon to my mouth.

The very moment the sweet, smooth custard hit my tongue, I moaned. “You’ve got to try this.”

I brought a spoonful to his lips, and without hesitation, he took it. His eyes shuttered and he groaned, “That’s what a crème brûlée is? Shit. I’ve been missing out.”

I gawked at him. “You’ve never had one?”

He shook his head, still enjoying the dessert. “No, but I get it now. Why you like ‘em so much.”

We talked for most of the night, feeding each other pieces of wickedly indulgent desserts and drinking Dutch bitter hot chocolate. It wasn’t sexy though. It was comfortable and friendly. I was surprised at how relaxed we were around each other. Quinn told me a little about himself. I found out his mother was not the nicest of women, but he wouldn’t tell me why. His father left before he was born, and when he got old enough to look him up, he found out he’d died.

I felt for him. And because of that, I told him a little about me too. How my father died from cancer when I was just a little girl, and how my brother is my best friend. He asked about my tattoo, and I decide to tell him the truth.

I started quietly, “I was very overweight at one point in my life. Like, fifty pounds overweight. And when you’re short like me, that fifty pounds is huge, you know?” I peeked over at him for any sign of disgust, but found none. “So I started to lose weight. I’d get up early and go running, workout five times a week, and eat healthily every day for two years, and here I was. A healthier version of me. I was proud of myself. But my stomach…it didn’t want to cooperate.” I shrugged.

“The stretch marks wouldn’t fade. They were red and angry-looking, and I’d worked so hard to get where I was, but there was still that one thing that was bothering me. So I went online to look at my options. I tried all these creams claiming they would fade them, but nothing worked.”

I popped a piece of red velvet cake into my mouth and moaned around it. “God, that’s good. Anyways, I found a tattoo artist who had done this sort of work before. When I told her what I wanted, she knew right away what I needed. So seven hours later and possibly the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life, I had a tattoo. And here’s the kicker,”—I shook my head and sighed—“those stretch marks? They faded.” I chuckled. “After all that, I got the tattoo for nothing.”

Quinn eyed me carefully in a way that made my body tremble. “I think it’s pretty and feminine. Just like you.” He added quickly, “And by the way, you look great. Your hard work has definitely paid off.”

I shook my head. “I’m still working on it. I’d like to be firmer in places, but as you can see…” I looked pointedly to the platter in front of us, “…I like cake.”

Quinn’s eyes darkened and he all but ground out, “Can I tell you something?” I nodded and he uttered a rough, “I don’t know about other men, but I like women soft. Your ass is amazing, and your tits are edible. I can barely stop myself from touching you, Maya. Honest.”

My breath left me in a whoosh. “I-I—”

He waved a hand at me. “No need to respond, babe. Just stating facts.”

Just. Stating. Facts. Oh no. I was pretty sure I’d just fallen for Matt Quinn, and there was nothing friendly about it. Why had I ever thought this was a good idea?

  I was totally screwed.

  Chapter Twenty-Five

  Quinn

Monday came with sunlight, warmth, and a sad smile on my face.

I woke up later than intended, but was lucky in the sense that I had no client today. It was a national holiday, which meant Harry wouldn’t be working. I sent him a text.

Me: Get your lazy ass up. I need coffee. Meet me at the pier.

I chuckled to myself, knowing Harry was an early riser and would have likely been up with the chickens at the crack of dawn.

Scrubbing a hand down my face, I lie back in bed and thought about the night before. I met Maya. And not only was she adorable, but she was funny, and kind, and lovely.

My hands covered my face and I groaned. I was getting hard just thinking of her. Jesus. People did not get hard over their friends, and according to how we left things last night, I was sure she wouldn’t book another appointment.

After we’d talked the majority of the night away, telling bad jokes and eating cake, Maya yawned.

My heart squeezed, because I knew what was coming.

She blinked up at me sleepily. “I should go.”

Not wanting to betray my feelings, I agreed, “It’s getting late.” I added with a smile, “Bu
t at least you don’t have to work tomorrow.”

She smiled back at me, nodding, “Yeah, I’ll probably go out to lunch with my brother.”

I titled my head, curious, “You’re really close with him, huh?”

“Yeah. I mean, sure, he’s a pain in the ass, but he’s always there for me. He always supports me. He’s my biggest ally,” she uttered humbly.

I’d like to meet this guy. Any man who has the complete devotion of someone like Maya is all right in my book.

She stood and I kept my eyes on her as she changed. She put on her silky pink bra, slipped her dress over her head, and then surprised me as she walked over to the trash and threw in her panties. She must’ve felt my eyes on her, because she flushed and explained, “I didn’t bring my purse, I don’t have anything to hide them in. I can’t put them on yet; I’m too sore.”

I nodded my understanding, stood, and slid my jeans on, walking her to the door without a shirt. I planned on leaving as soon as Maya left, but I didn’t want to give her the impression I’d been waiting for her to leave. Truth is, I had such a great time that if she stayed till five a.m., I would have stayed too.

Placing my hand on the doorknob, I opened the door and she stepped out, turning to face me. “I’ll remember this experience my whole life, Quinn. You were everything I hoped you’d be.” She blushed charmingly and my heart seized.

I lifted my hand to cup her cheek. “No chance I’d be seeing you again?”

Averting my eyes, she shrugged lightly, prettily, and uttered a soft, “I’m not sure.”

I knew this was a no. If it wasn’t a definite, it was a no. I knew this from past experiences. My face lowered to hers and I pressed a chaste kiss onto her swollen, well-kissed lips. “It was so nice to meet you, Maya.”

Her arms came up and she wrapped them around my neck, squeezing. “You have no idea what this meant to me, Quinn.” She turned her face and kissed my cheek, feather-soft.
