LYNN WEINGARTEN is a writer, editor, content developer, eater of snacks, and friend of dogs. Her first young adult novel, Wherever Nina Lies, was a YALSA Teens’ Top Ten nominee and an ALA Top Ten Popular Paperback for Young Adults. Lynn grew up in New York state, spent nine years in New York City, and is currently living in Scotland with her physicist husband.
KIERSTEN WHITE is the rather diminutive author of the bestselling Paranormalcy series. At eighteen, she volunteered in an elementary school and was told to go outside for recess. It’s all been downhill from there. When not not-murdering people, she spends time with her husband and two children and avoids the beach—a harder task than you’d assume when one lives in San Diego.
MO WILLEMS is nothing but trouble. His three Caldecott Honors, two Geisel Medals, six Emmy Awards, and “Most Likely to Improve Ribbon” (3rd grade division) were acquired by suspicious means. Personally, I would not trust him farther than I could throw him (results may vary). It’s best to avoid his work by refusing to type www.mowillems.com into your browser.
RITA WILLIAMS-GARCIA author of One Crazy Summer and Jumped, is allergic to Brazilian cockroaches, mice epithelials, soy, a condiment whose name she dares not type, and tree nuts. She first came across a wombat pressed into a page in her beloved family dictionary. Although not impressed, she knew she would one day include this creature in a story. She encourages her MFA students at VCFA to dig deep into the folds of childhood to uncover those long forgotten aardvarks, emus, and wombats.
When not driving a cab or on a killing spree, MARYROSE WOOD keeps herself occupied by writing The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series for middle-grade readers. She’s currently working on book four of the planned six-book series, and sometimes wonders how many people will have to meet a gruesome end before it’s all over. She lives in the Bronx with her kids and pets, all of whom are just to die for.
JENNIFER ZIEGLER is the author of How Not to Be Popular, Sass & Serendipity, and other suspicious-sounding works. She is probably in the middle of a madcap adventure, asking herself how she got into such a mess and wishing she were wearing more sensible shoes.
MICHELLE ZINK is the author of the Prophecy of the Sisters series and A Temptation of Angels. She lives in New York with her four teenagers and many objects of doom, er, research.
