to recognize God’s words when you hear them. If you want to help people, then let them discuss their problems with other people, listen to everyone’s responses, and then decide which of the words you hear are God’s words.
JUDY
See, you’re speaking for God again.
CHRIS
Then you don’t need me any more. Look for God’s words somewhere else. I’ve got a lecture to write before tomorrow. I’m out of here, and I’m not coming back.
(He turns and walks away)
JUDY
(To Chris’ back)
The same goes for you, Chris. Listen for God’s words and you will hear them.
Chris
(turns back one last time)
You’re all crazy.
(turns and walks off stage)
