Page 19 of For the Roses

She didn’t know how long he scened with her, the sweet pain keeping her deeper in subspace than she could ever remember, even with him.

The next thing she knew, he was lifting her, turning her—

Impaling her on his cock, her back pressed against his chest and her legs draped over his thighs, forcing her to spread wide open.

She couldn’t even process that, because the vibrator clicked on and pressed against her clit.

Throwing her head back against his shoulder, she clamped down on the moan as his lips kissed her ear. “That’s it, baby. Milk my cock with your body. Show everyone how beautiful you are when you ride me.”

She could have been in the middle of an arena full of screaming hockey fans and she wouldn’t care. Finally, she had the release he’d been denying her. She braced her hands on the arms of the chair and fucked him as he kept her coming, over and over, ruthlessly making her ride every wave as he whispered dirty, loving words in her ear.

The vibrator finally turned off and disappeared. He grabbed her hips and took over, thrusting up into her and coming with a loud groan in her ear, filling her.

It was only as she started coming down that what she must look like smacked her between the eyes.

And she must have tensed, because his arms encircled her, holding her. “No, baby,” he whispered. “You stay right there. That’s where I want you. I love you so much, you’re so fucking sexy.”

She didn’t feel very sexy right at that moment, wondered how many people were staring at her, wondered—

He nipped her earlobe. “Talk to me.”

“Love you, too, Sir,” she managed, struggling not to cry.

“Shhh.” He held her securely wrapped in his arms. “Let it out.”

She didn’t want to cry, but she did, managing to keep it quiet.

After what felt like forever, he reached up and unfastened the blindfold. When she didn’t open her eyes, he nipped her earlobe again. “Look, baby.”

  She slowly opened her eyes—

And was staring at two bookcases just feet away, where they met in the corner of the room.

Shocked, she craned her neck around to realize the chair and hassock had been turned completely around. Instead of facing out into the room with everyone watching, they’d been turned the other way. And right now, everyone’s attention was on a suspension on the lanai anyway, where a guy in rope was currently being DP’ed by his two Tops.

Processing his amused smile, she started laughing, burying her head against his chest.

He hugged her again. “Told you to trust me, baby.”

  “Thank you, Sir.”

He reached over, snagged a large fleece throw he’d brought for her, and draped it over her before he had her sit up so he could tuck his cock back into his slacks. “So how was that for your first public scene with me?”

Another kiss. “Can’t do this at Venture, though.”

“I know. But you think we can work through your fear now?”

  She nodded. “Yes, Sir.”

He cradled her face in his hands. “I mean it, baby. This is for life. All I ask is you trust me. I promise I’ll take care of you.”

  “Thank you, Sir.”

He smiled. “Go get dressed. You’ll find panties in the bag.”

  “Oooh, I get panties?”

“Unless you want to walk around the rest of the night with my cum dribbling down your legs, yes.”

She snickered. “Only at home, Sir.”

  “Good girl.”

By the time she emerged from the bathroom, the rest of their things were put up and the chair and hassock had been returned to their original position.

And the guy in rope, whose name she thought was Justin, was begging his Tops for permission to come.

Elvin stepped behind her, his arms around her, nibbling on the back of her neck. “Maybe one day soon that’ll be you out there, begging me to let you come, hmm?”

She leaned back against him, hugging his arms tightly around her. “I hope so, Sir.”

  Chapter Twenty-Four

“I wish you’d let me wear panties today, Sir,” she whispered as she headed up the front walk with him.

“I let you wear panties last night. You’re lucky you’re not wearing a butt plug right now, so you want to rethink that, baby girl? It’s in my bag in the trunk. I can get it and make you put it in here.”

He chuckled as her face reddened. “I’m good, Sir. Thank you, Sir.”

He reached down and lightly swatted her tender ass through her skirt. After last night’s play party, she’d awakened hot and horny and he’d given her a lovely set of cane marks over the marks from last night before fucking her senseless and letting her come as a reward for how good she’d been the night before.

He rang the bell and smiled down at her. “They’re gonna love you, baby.”

Albert answered the door. “Hey, there.” He hugged Elvin before Elvin turned. “Albert Carson, this is Meri Dutton.”

“Nice to finally meet you.” He leaned in for a hug with her, Sondra appearing behind him in the foyer.

After those introductions were handled, they headed inside.

Momma was in the living room, and she stood for a hug from Elvin before he introduced them. “Loretta Carson, Meri Dutton, my fiancée.”

“It’s very nice to meet you, Ms. Carson,” Meri said.

Momma had started to lean in for a hug, but stopped. “Now, stop that nonsense right now. You call me Momma, just like Elvin does.”

  “Yes, Momma.”

“That’s better.” She hugged Meri. “I’m so glad to finally get to meet you. Elvin’s told us so much about you. Where’s Ron? I thought he was coming today, too.”

“He’s coming,” Elvin said. “He’s running a few minutes late. He got hung up with a flat tire on his way home from a Viking thing. He’s going to grab a shower and head over. Should be about thirty minutes behind us. He said to start without him.”

“Viking thing?” Momma said. “What’s that mean?”

“Viking re-enactment,” Elvin clarified. “Ren fair stuff.”

“Oh!” She laughed. “Sorry. I wasn’t sure if that was a modern slang term I’d never heard.”

  “No,” Meri said. “He’s a mead-drinking, horn-blowing, axe-wielding Viking. Part-time. He’s actually an electrician.”

Momma smiled. “Well, I suppose everyone should have a hobby.”

They hadn’t started eating yet when Ron arrived only twenty minutes later, profusely apologizing and bringing a growler of mead with him to share with everyone.

And yes, Momma insisted Ron call her that, too.

At one point, Meredith was in the kitchen, helping Sondra finish putting together a salad while the men and Momma talked in the living room. “Is Keisha coming today?” she asked.

Elvin honestly hadn’t known, and had told her that.

Sondra snorted. “Hell, no. Momma told her off but good the other night when Keisha called her all apologetic and sweet-soundin’. Wantin’ to know if she could move down here.” She snorted. “Momma’s already listed her house with an agent.”

  “Really?”

“Yeah. There’s a condo building she wants to move into. One-bedroom, in a senior facility. They have a bus and social groups and all sorts of activities. She’s been downsizing for over a year now.”

“I thought Keisha had a place in Atlanta.”

“She can’t afford it without a job, even with the money she inherited. She’ll be flat-broke in a year unless she goes back to work. It’s a luxury place. She’s gonna list it, I guess. Get this—then she has the nerve to call Albert and ask him if she can move in here with us.”

  “And?”

“Oh, hell no. I’d divorce him first, and he damn well knows it.”

Meredith couldn’t hide her smile and didn’t bother trying. “She always been like that?”

“Albert says yeah. She was a daddy’s girl and spoiled rotten by him. She was o
nly eleven when he died. He’d been raised in a family with six brothers and no sisters, and he didn’t do her any favors.”

“I’m surprised Momma put up with it.”

“She was too busy working. They both were, really. Then especially after she lost him.” She sighed. “He was the love of her life. And then she was a widow raising two teenagers, and working full-time, plus taking on tutoring jobs in the evenings for extra money. I guess Keisha decided she wanted a sugar daddy instead of a partner.” She bumped Meredith’s hip with her own. “You two thinking about having kids?” She smiled.

Albert and Sondra had two sons. Both had graduated college, one lived in Los Angeles and the other in Washington, DC, both of them attorneys. They were due in town in two weeks for a belated birthday celebration for their grandmother, but their caseloads hadn’t allowed them to take time off to actually make it for her birthday.

“I…don’t know. It’s not a conversation we’ve had. I could, but I have some increased risk factors now, with my age and my cancer. I hadn’t really thought about children, honestly. I was too busy working, before.”

“I’m sorry. I can be nosy. Feel free to tell me to butt out.”

“No, it’s okay.” Honestly, before, Peter hadn’t wanted kids.

So even though she hadn’t settled it fully in her mind before Peter, his opinion had been her opinion.

“Is it selfish of me if I say I’m not sure if I really want kids?”

“Not at all. My sister didn’t want any. After they were married fifteen years, her husband got a vasectomy so she could get off the pill. They both have careers they love, and they love to travel.”

Why was that something she’d never talked about with Elvin?

As if he’d been listening in, even though she knew he couldn’t have heard from the living room, he appeared in the kitchen doorway.

“Dinner smells great. When are we eatin’?”

  “Soon,” Sondra told him.

He walked over to Meredith and slipped his arms around her from behind. “What’s that look for, baby?”

“My fault,” Sondra said. “I got nosy and asked about kids. I should know better.” She patted Meri’s shoulder before she carried a serving dish out to the table.

He rested his chin on her shoulder. “Baby?”

She shrugged. “I just realized we hadn’t talked about it.”

He sighed. “I honestly don’t care. I’ve got you. And hell, Ron’s like a big kid, right?”

She couldn’t hold back her snort. “True.”

He made her turn and look at him. “I’d be awfully worried about you,” he softly said. “Even if we decided we wanted to talk about it, I’d have to have some pretty damn strong assurances from your doctor that you’d be okay. That it wouldn’t bring your cancer back, or cause problems. Know what I mean?”

  She nodded.

He cupped her face. “You’re mine. I’ve never been happier in my life than I am seeing you wear my ring and that bracelet.” He kissed her. “If you’re happy with me, I’ll bring you roses every week and love you so hard you won’t have time to miss anything. If you decide you want kids, then we can talk. Maybe even adopt. But I spend all week with kids. I’m good having adult time the rest of my life.”

  She kissed him. “Me, too.”

Later that night, as they lay in his bed, she snuggled close. “How would you feel if we went up to the Toucan next weekend as Ron’s wingmen?”

  “We wouldn’t cramp his style?”

“Like you said, he’s a big kid.”

He kissed the nape of her neck. “Make the arrangements, baby.”

  “Yes, Sir.”

  “Did you have fun today?”

“I did. I’m glad Momma liked us.”

“Told you she would. Two more kids she didn’t have to give birth to? Hell, yeah.”

She giggled. “Did you hear what Keisha tried?”

“Yeah, Albert and Momma told me.” He sighed. “She might move back to Sarasota anyway. Do I need to worry about you snatching her weave out at the roots, or do I need to make sure we only go to events she won’t be at?”

She pulled his arms more tightly around her. “I’ll behave, Sir. But if she starts in on me, I’ll dish it back to her.”

“Dishing it back to her is fine. Smashing her with a dish is not.”

She tipped her head back to meet his gaze. “I’m your good girl. And I trust you. But if she shows up here and I’m here? I get to throw her out.”

“She’ll only show up one more time before I get a trespass warning issued against her. I ain’t gonna tolerate that bullshit. But I think she had a rude awakening last weekend.”

  “I hope so.”

  His turn to snort.

  “What?” she asked.

“Glad Ron is gay. Otherwise, I wouldn’t put it past her to set her sights on him.”

“Yeah, but I would love watching him read her. He takes no prisoners.”

“That’s the Viking in him,” Elvin said.

  “Skål.”

He laughed. “Skål, baby girl. Now go to sleep. We have to work in the morning.”

Still, even after his breathing deepened and slowed, she lay there, eyes open and thinking.

Except it was pleasant thoughts taking up room in her brain now, instead of the self-recriminations and negativity that she used to hold.

  Possible ideas for their wedding.

Had she known moving back home would have turned out so right, she wouldn’t have fought Ron on it.

Then again, different timing might have meant she didn’t get Elvin.

And no way in hell would she give him up, now that she had finally found perfection and peace.
