Page 9 of His Victory

entertained by the way he was fighting that I toyed with him amusing the crowd, they loved it some pointed to him laughing and shouting out “Mighty Nero” his face was covered with his own blood, I pulled him closer to me and pushed a dagger into his lower ribs and pulled it out the blood flooded out the wound, I took it off Felix when I fell on top of him when killing him. I picked him up with one hand and displayed him to the crowd whilst walking over to the crowd, he tried to fight me but I was too strong for him. I threw him like I would with a spear. I walked up to his sword and picked it up, as I turned around I saw Nero trying to escape the arena “nowhere to go Nero!” I shouted, I grabbed him at his armour, now red with his blood no longer the clean white armour he stepped in the arena with. I threw him to the ground and placed one of my feet on top of him, he was frightened by the sight of me standing over him holding his sword in my hand. I placed the sword next to him and said “take your own life or I will” I turned around and walked away. He stormed me holding his sword up high, he striked at me but missed, as he passed my with his swinging sword I slit his throat, he fell to the ground holding his neck, I kept on walking not looking back at him.

It was done Nero was dead, he fell into my trap my family was safe. That same day the name “Virtus” was added as the one of the mythical Gods known as:

  “God of Courage”

Julius Caesar stepped down as Emperor the next morning and gave Rome back to the people making it a Republic once again.

I took my wife Diana and son beyond the city walls, were we left Hercules behind….

I am “God of Courage” Virtus

In loving memory of my PitBull “Virtus” God of Courage.
