Page 26 of Love After All

She shrugged. "Because I figured guys who were all into sports would be focused on just that, and not on me."

Bash shook his head. "That's ridiculous."

"And you haven't dated the kinds of men I did."

  "Obviously not."

"Anyway, and I love all your friends because they're all my friends."

"That's true. But back to you actually liking sports ..."

"It's not my fault you're not paying attention to the fact that I like baseball and football."

"I'm going to test your baseball knowledge during the game tomorrow." He waved a finger at her.

  "You do that."

"Okay, moving on. Must like burgers and fries and the occasional onion ring love fest."

"I like burgers and fries just fine. Just not every day."

  "I can live with that."

She leaned against him. "Just how long is this list?"

"Almost done. Must like a guy who wears jeans and T-shirts."

She laid her hand on his chest. "It's quite obvious you made the cut."

He grinned down at her. "I'm willing to pull out a suit on occasion, though, mainly because you look sexy as hell when you're all dressed up."

  "Deal."

"Must like kids. I'd like a couple."

She tapped her fingers on his notebook. "You know, that was on my list as well."

He gave her a heated look. "Can we start right now?"

She laughed. "Maybe not just yet. We have to get a house. And we should probably talk marriage at some point."

"Oh, we're going to do that. Very soon."

  Her heart swelled.

"Now this is a deal breaker. Must like getting dirty in the mud now and then."

She lifted her gaze to his and gave him a very sexy smile. "I like dirty."

He stared at her. "You're making my dick hard."

"You should focus on your list."

He tossed the notebook aside and gathered her close.

"Bottom line. I'm not looking for the perfect woman, just the woman who'll love and accept me for who I am."

She kissed him, deeply, then looked at him with all the love she had for him.

  "I already do," she said.

He gazed down at her, and she'd never felt more loved. "Then you're perfect for me."

She smiled up at him. "I know."
