  My shoulders ached and I suspected they were bruised from my failed attempts at graceful somersaults. I helped fold up mats and put away equipment as the other kids got their stuff and left.

  Gavin clapped his hands together. "How about we go upstairs and have a snack?”

  "Are you coming, Taliesin?" Anali asked.

  "Sure, I have an hour before my class starts," he said. Why would they included him? He's not a Child of Fire.

  Kayin stood next to me, and together we walked up the stairs. The feeling of dread increased with each step.
