The most shameless of the recent political and economic, is the glaring contradiction between what is advocated and what is done: the only frontier, the only barrier, the only one that has not been difficult to break down, which has been easier to remove, has been the global trade, the extent of influence of each large company market directly to each of our distant neighbors. The remaining barriers "coincidentally" cannot be eliminated. Institutionalized crime turned politician and law, dressed in flattering agreements, is the last of the atrocities they have not only been created, but we have tacitly accepted one by one, remaining willfully ignorant. This is one of our shameless.
Business schools, management, financing ... negotiating what exactly?
Another stupidity that we accept as a mark of our time, as a medal on the flap, is the status and title, the power and ability, that provides from High Management Schools. They know do things well, they are clever, and they are experts, and many more so. I am sorry by telling you this words, but those men are actually great managers, modern managers, I would say even they are "modern herders of sheep and goat with two legs, which today are million heads of human herds".
Really, they are experts, perhaps wizards, but again the use of knowledge is the question. As he said me once, after a conference of development, an executive from an Italian company who came to take a brief talk with only one person: "World is that, you find the right people, properly hungry of prosperity, and you will make a big business, you will get a big deal, you do not need work longer this year".
Despite the current crisis, the eye cannot see beyond that expectation, you cannot see the reality of the figures: a minority of people completely related, absorbs money that stupidly gives a majority willing to live without effort, seeing it away, from outside, the wonderful world of high-level life. This is just as you see the sharks at the Aquarium. The expectation of big deals, big chances of life, have big accounts on the bank, is the candy that attracts to everybody, as does the lottery. And as people usually bow to believe things are looking good, in the same way they believe some aspects and decisions can be the signal to reach the prize: “maybe the 22312 is my fate, maybe to be an engineer, and maybe I will reach,” and thus they reach a year when they see that have been all their life paying lottery. The much lottery you buy, the bigger possibilities you have. After all this, you have lost your life pursuing your chance, losing your own life, not knowing what is around you.
But once we look the percentage of effort and risks, and the earnings obtained, in four economic levels in our society (worker, entrepreneur, great businessman and banker), then the result mutes your mouth: a huge population is actually working, and even earning but paying big amounts also, and globally are the 4% of money flowing, and a 18% percent is already going to upper hands; the 78% that left is perpetually in the hands of just 570,000 people, with a strong linkage between all of them, and no one link with you barring this one, you are working for them.
Imagine (perhaps you already have a sort of factory) for a while that you have an industry, with many sections working linked along a chain, where machines, inputs, outputs, workers, timeline, goods, are very well geared, so you was awarded by a business association. Your ensemble works well, very greatly well, and profits goes well also. One day you find a new partner, a new executive, who looks come with brilliant insights, very great insights. The new manager decides get rid of some machines, and some workers and inefficient processes that he considers useless. In the extent backyard, the pile of machines, boxes, cans, vehicles, pipes and other things, is watched from far by workers fired. In the inside, only a few machines remain running, to full time and speedily, but now the factory is only producing two things, and depends from other factories still more.
The next week, you sit down in a work meeting of the Board, and discover you are now as another worker more, you are not able to decide for more time, as many other more: today, your manager has taken control over supplies, he has changed the market so much so you cannot produce for longer the former goods, and now you must wait to her decisions. He has introduced your company in the future. You are his slave for life. And all hangs of some factories, which are providing you the raw material. He is their adviser, a specialist; he has enough shares to be more interested in the bigger industries, where he has a piece of cake. Do you remember the day you hired him? You thought that: “he is a specialist, a great administrator, a financial experienced,“ a good partner. And it was true, he is now who decides, but not liable. And you are forever slave for his decisions, whatever it is you want to do. That is what has gone on with everything in the world. It has gone on with business, and also with the resources of every kind. Today, you run the risks, and this perfect manager is handling it. Of course things and world are changing quickly, and also are going faring from you, each day the control remains in less hands.
The huge complexity that offered opportunities to take advantage of enormous different resources has been razed. The possibilities to live basing on manifold ways of crop, production, extraction and building, were deleted, although apparently have been increased: actually, are only expensive ways of buy always to same big companies, by some selected millions of inhabitants who have the enough economic level to make this. Take a look around you, watch for all, even you great industrialist, you are a slave, and you already know it. Today the opportunities are actually a way to run up safe: you let the people try business, take the risks, and if have success you will eat them.
Whatever the region that you can try to find in the world, you will see the same situation: is lost one's independence in return for being one more part of a greater greed. Well, perhaps this will not be a concern, perhaps will be. The exact road that events are taking up is a sort of world where even those who believe to be in a strong economic position will depend forever from only a bunch of world companies. Medium industries, as the customers, fell in the same blunder years ago, to become part of another bigger system and losing their own richness. Still even many industrialists are unconscious about it. Once you talk on to they about their maneuverability, then they acknowledge their slavery. Every day, falls an entrepreneur, and another comes to trying the same: thus is taken advantage every try undertaken, whose costs pays always the little business.
From different points have been explored the perception and response that has people in the world in front of some issues. And the answers were predictable: even the most experienced and capable people lose confidence in itself. A review of responses from people into the developed countries shows something that no one could believe: the resigning that shows the people in the developing countries, assuming the water, air and soils will never be clean again; and business are not possible without be part of the broken system, the control is a kind of frontier and agreed barrier, and all this is also present in the developing ones, and is a sort of law of the life in the developing and undeveloped countries. This is a universal referent: I am a puppet.
People are not so angry as might seem. People have accepted everything is coming, as a kind of chance or sort of destiny which they cannot decide, and is only learning and waiting the while and opportunity to bring the train of well being, discretely, accomplishing the gambling rules. So is managed the slavery. This feeling was the insight by blacks in XIX: do you want to live? Then come and follow my instructions. This rule to thriving is now a property for almost every culture.
A common idea is that with so many millions on the Earth, sure “I can be one of this who are on the ridge,” but the numbers are stubborn and do not forgive, and tell you that your possibilities are only a 0,008%.
Earth cannot support … so many people?
The earth cannot support so many people ... has not enough resources to grow the needed crops ... has not the water for all ... and more statements like these, are dime of dozen. Have been included all the factors? No, absolutely has not been done.
Perhaps, it is no true that we are wasting the po
tential of grounds and water in 60% of the cultivated land? It is not true that we are multiplying the price of meat and food by controlling the market, and selling a 40% of processed foods with a mix where meat is under a 20% in total? It is not true we have a 30-35% of lands degraded, which will increase until 40-45%, which could be cultivated? It is not true that we are wasting the waters, either on irrigation, in towns within our homes, or depleting natural sources? It is not true that the total of resources extracted, overcomes many times the needs of the only 1,500 millions inhabitants for whom are affordable, whom can consume it paying a price senseless? Can make it sense, of the 75% of funds aimed to cooperation worldwide, an average 60% keeps in occidental jobs, a 30% keeps in the target administrations, and rarely a 10% arrives the end? Of course, it is sure that the earth has a limit to support a measurable mass of living beings, but it depends of one concept already old, the balance, and it implies measure the flow of resources that are going in and out from every system: and this has a translation like consumption and use of resources. The rest is a big derision.
