October’s back

  To haunt once more,

  Monsters knocking

  On the door…

  * * * * *

  Trick or treaty…

  Listen, sweetie,

  Move your feet-y,

  Fast and fleet-y,

  Trick or treat-y!

  * * * * *

  Shopping spree…

  Mom went on

  A shopping spree,

  Buying costumes

  For children three…

  * * * * *

  The Chocolate Rule…

  School would be awesome

  I’m sure you agree,

  If instead of grades

  They gave out… candy!

  * * * * *

  No more houses…

  Asphalt under

  Tired feet,

  No more houses

  Trick or treat!

  * * * * *

  Trick or trick…

  Oranges, apples

  Nuts galore,

  Can’t we skip the

  Health food store?

  * * * * *

  Too soon?!?

  Put my costume

  On in June,

  And no, that’s nowhere

  Near too soon!

  * * * * *

  Scary starch…

  Little Ghostie

  Hands out treats,

  Gives the other

  Ghouls new sheets!

  * * * * *

  “You’re safe, Bro!”

  Brains are what

  Undead adore,

  Which is why my

  Brother, they ignore!

  * * * * *

  Get you some!

  Now the day,

  Has finally come,

  For free candy –

  Get you some!

  * * * * *

  Pile on…

  Pour my candy

  In a pile,

  Just to lie on

  Top awhile…

  * * * * *

  That time of year…

  Vampire teeth and

  Spider rings,

  That time of year

  For childish things!

  * * * * *

  Overflowing…

  Candy aisles

  Overflowing,

  Into treat bags

  They’ll be going!

  * * * * *

  Ghosts come a haunting…

  Bats in the belfry,

  Skeletons clatter,

  Ghosts come a haunting,

  To see what’s the matter!

  * * * * *

  Store bought costumes…

  I don’t care that

  Mom’s not handy.

  (Store bought costumes

  Get more candy!)

  * * * * *

  Sewing going…

  Mothers sewing

  At full speed,

  For each child’s

  Costume needs…

  * * * * *

  October 365…

  Trick or treating

  With my friends,

  Hope October

  Never ends!

  * * * * *

  Rise and shine…

  Why wait till dark

  To go beg for candy,

  Trick or treating at sunrise

  Would be twice as dandy!

  * * * * *

  31 Days of Halloween…

  No, I do NOT

  Think it crazed,

  To wear my costume

  All 31 days!!

  * * * * *

  Super powers…

  Trick or treat

  For six straight hours,

  Feels like I have

  Super powers!!!

  * * * * *

  Monster masks…

  Rubber faces and

  Fake hair,

  Monster masks

  Designed to scare!

  * * * * *

  But Mom….

  Bite your tongue and

  Take it back:

  You forgot my

  Trick or treat sack?!?!

  * * * * *

  Cheap costumes…

  Moth Woman

  And Lizard Thing,

  Cheap costumes

  From Dollar King!

  * * * * *

  Who needs feet?!?

  Quite a feat,

  Ghost’s sheet,

  Who needs feet,

  To trick or treat?!?

  * * * * *

  Better… best!

  Put your candy,

  To the test:

  Okay, good,

  Better… best!

  * * * * *

  This Halloween…

  I have only

  One request,

  That this Halloween

  Be the best!

  * * * * *

  Begging for an egging…

  Rubber mask,

  Upon my face,

  Throwing eggs

  By the case!

  * * * * *

  Free TP…

  All your candy,

  Give to me,

  Unless you want

  Some free TP!

  * * * * *

  Sisters three…

  Trick or treat

  With sisters three,

  More for them…

  And less for ME!

  * * * * *

  Costume can’t…

  Mask too big and

  Cape too long,

  My costume is all

  Kinds of wrong!
