Ka’Ru barked as he showered Grewen with sparks from each whip of his tentacles. The tips of these flexible appendages fired small blue lightning bolts in every direction.
Trying to protect his head, electrical burns covered Grewen’s forearms and hands. The giant tried several times to grab the powerful whips but only received cuts and scorched skin to show for it.
“Why are you helping Darkmere flood the lands?” Grewen asked him as he defended himself.
“It is our time to take Australis back from the humans,” he replied.
“But Darkmere is human. You would lower yourself to follow him?” Grewen pushed to cause friction from within.
“We will allow him to help us until we don’t need him anymore,” answered the Wolvian.
“So your alliance is not strong with him?” he prodded.
The muscular wolf-like creature was not about to tip his hand to the Mognin. “They are strong enough.” He lashed out and struck Grewen’s chest with both tentacles at the same time.
Grewen’s body straightened up and shook violently for several seconds before falling to the hard stone landing with a loud thud.
