Epilogue
Commander Pandreth sat in his chair on the bridge, looking out at the bright blue-jeweled planet that was causing his kind so much strife. They had found the Progerian settlement the previous day and had been shuttling its inhabitants from the surface ever since. He’d learned about the Julipion falling into the hands of the enemy, the revolt of the Genogerians and the alliance they had made with the humans. That two species so different could align themselves was a mystery. Unlike a good number of the ruling Progerians, Pandreth knew the Genogerians discontentment with their lot in life had not died with their last failed uprising. Those feelings may have been covered over, but they were far from buried.
What was much more unsettling was that some of his kind had sided with the humans and had even helped train them on how to use the equipment and even build fighters. He had taken over command of the Earth mission when the Cruiser and the flagship Destroyer had been annihilated. That the humans had violated all manner of law by hitting a ship in buckle told him just how dangerous and unpredictable the hairless mammals were. He would show them no quarter in his dealings. The immediate problem was now coping with the ‘wild’ Genogerians that still roamed the planet’s surface.
