He drew her to him, and started licking, nibbling, eating off the cream. Grace put her arms around him, drawing him as close as she could, as his talented tongue made short work of the whipped cream. He didn’t back off when it was gone, but continued, sending fire through her body.

Next, he had her skirt and panties gone, raising her so he could reach her without moving too much.

Carter slanted her a smile so sinful her breath stopped, then cold cream landed between her legs. Carter gave her another hazel-eyed look, before he slid his tongue over her heat and showed her how bad she could truly be.

Grace’s body swayed, sensations pouring through her and emerging as passionate cries. She tried to muffle the sounds but Carter’s attentions made that impossible.

“I love you!” Her declaration rang through the room, as she arched to Carter’s wicked, beautiful mouth.

“Love you too,” Carter said, and kissed her where she was hottest. “My bad, bad, sweetheart of a woman.”

Grace’s body squeezed to one point of astonishing pleasure, then she was collapsing down to him, Carter gathering her into his arms.

Grace held on to him, kissing, loving, before she raised her head. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“You never can, Grace.” Carter touched a soft kiss to her lips, then snaked his hand to the nightstand and snapped off the light. “You never can.”

“Love you.” Grace settled down against his chest, enjoying the warmth of him, the silence of the house.

“Love you too, angel,” Carter said.

The darkness of the night closed around them, the peace of it welcoming Carter and Grace home.

  The End

  Faith’s Birthday Texas Sheet Cake

Texas sheet cake is an easy cake to make from scratch. It can be mixed up with a spoon and doesn’t require a lot of exotic ingredients.

The simple cake can be dressed up with any kind of frosting, chopped nuts, or chocolate candies or colorful sprinkles.

  Makes one 10 x 15 x 1 cake (see note)

  Sheet Cake

Butter: 1 cup (2 sticks or 16 oz)

  Cocoa Powder: 1/4 cup

  Water: 1 cup

Flour: 2 cups (all purpose, unbleached)

  Sugar: 2 cups

  Baking soda: 1 teaspoon

  Salt: 1/2 teaspoon

Eggs: 2, lightly beaten in separate bowl

  Sour Cream: 1/2 cup

Note: If you don’t have a 10 x 15 x 1 jellyroll or sheet pan, you can bake this recipe in two 8 x 8 square pans. Test for doneness at 20 minutes.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).

  2. Grease the pan(s) or line with parchment paper (buttered waxed paper works as well).

  3. Cut butter into small pieces. In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt butter, stir in water and cocoa powder and mix until smooth. Do not let the mixture boil or simmer.

  4. Remove from heat and cool about ten minutes.

  5. Pour chocolate mixture into a large mixing bowl.

  6. Add flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, sour cream, and lightly beaten eggs.

  7. Mix well until combined and pour into sheet pan.

  8. Bake 25 minutes. Cake is done when it’s springy and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Remove to a wire rack and let cool.

  Frosting

This cake is delicious plain with a dusting of powdered sugar, or, make Faith’s chocolate icing as follows:

Butter: 1/4 cup (1/2 stick or 4 oz)

  Milk: 3 tablespoons

  Cocoa powder: 2 tablespoons

Confectioners Sugar (also called powdered sugar): 1 1/2 to 2 cups

  Vanilla: 1/2 teaspoon

  1. Melt butter with milk in a small saucepan.

  2. Add cocoa powder and mix until smooth.

  3. Mix in vanilla.

  4. Stir in confectioners sugar, one cup at a time, until the frosting is as thin or thick as you like it (more confectioners sugar can be added for thicker frosting, more milk to thin it if necessary).

  5. A very thin frosting can be poured over the cake like a glaze. A thicker frosting can be easily spread with a table knife or frosting spatula.

Decorate as you like, and enjoy!
