Chapter 6.

Over the next several generations, Broc’s clan continued to grow, eventually spreading out to fill all of Central and Western Europe.

The Tal continued moving southward along the coast, blocked from returning to their stone edifice. The shallows, which they had barely been able to cross in their pursuit of Broc’s clan, had now become impassable as sea levels continued to rise.

Though they tried to expand inland, they were beaten back by the descendents of Broc and his son Eff. Eventually they reached the southern-most tip of the continent, where they were held in check by the expanding human population.

With their backs to the sea and their movement blocked from the east and the west, they took refuge in the only place left for them, the huge stone mountain at the confluence of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. There they remained until the last of them perished.
