Page 5 of Paradise

that they were only playing games with us.

"Meredith," I heard the cell opening, "mom," I cried seeing her beautiful face. Dad was here as well along with five other people I didn't know, "come on," they pulled us from the cells. I had to close my eyes from the smoke, it burned my lungs and I pass out again.

"No, no, get off me!" Marlon was on top of me biting into my leg then my neck, "you idiots forgot one." Then he was ripping out my guts before my eyes. I screamed and screamed trying to get away from him.

I felt hands pushing me down, I screamed louder until my throat felt raw. "Meredith, Meredith it’s okay." I open my eyes then closed them again, the lights in the room was too harsh. "Meredith Hall, it’s okay your are safe you are in the hospital."

I open my eyes again and saw a nurse smiling down at me, I fight back another scream, "ple-please don't s-s-smile." I managed to get out and the smile dropped from her face. "Since you are awake I am just going to do some checks."

"Where is my sister?" I asked her when she was finished, my mouth was still dry even after downing all the water in the jug beside the bed. "She is fine, all your friends are fine." She smiled again but she quickly let it drop.

I lay back down on the bed too afraid to close my eyes. "Meredith," I saw Leah and Sophie standing there, Leah had her thumb in her mouth and a cast on the small right hand. Sophie seemed fine even though she was leaning and a crutch.

I sit up again trying to fight away the now building headache. "Hey," I saw the tears running down her face, "we're okay," she said walking over to me.

Mom was feeding Britannia chicken soup, she and Cameron were still in the hospital. According to the doctors we were everyone lucky that we were rescued in time.

I sat on the bed beside Cameron as his mother tried to feed him. Mom was crying all the while saying that she shouldn't have sent us.

She finally told us about why she didn't want us to go, her parents had moved there when she and Uncle Ricky were just five and one, her parents were and they managed to escape. I'm just glad that we got out alive well some of us, it might sound selfish but I didn't really care about the others well except for Diana she was my best friend.

  Two years later....

That place still hunted us, naturally I got blame for Diana's and the others death. Diana family moved away and I never heard from them again, I didn't like her mother that much anyways.

Sophie and Britannia were still friends, Miss Lorain didn't really blame us but she say that we could have done more to save her daughter. Like hell I would like to see her in that place, Sophie had said when we were at Paige body less funeral.

Every chance I get I would go on the net to see if there were any sighting of hellville I mean Paradise, of course there were a few hoax and people pretending to be Sara after the news got out. But now I think back Marlon only got shot in the leg, well he couldn't have survived the explosion.

I didn't even bother going to Australia, instead I went to a collage in the next state changing my career choice entirely, I came home every chance I got, in fear of Paradise replaying itself. I got creep out every time someone smiles at me.

Naturally Britannia was there with me, sharing the same dorm room. Some of the idiots here thought it was a good idea to get Sara masks to try and scare us. When I beat the crap out of a frat boy they all got the idea and left us alone.

Cameron is in Canada, going for his PhD, he asked me to marry him but I chicken out and he told me he will wait for me. He too was on the lookout for Paradise, you spend as much time together when we had the chance. Leah is living with mom and dad and going to school, seeing that mom was her only family alive.

Paradise- once you enter you won't leave, but we got lucky, we got out. I sat back in my computer chair, after finishing a report for the local news paper, we finally decide to tell them all of what happen to us while we were there.

Well I have a bright future ahead of me in fashion, Britannia belch and I couldn't help my laugh.

A Skype window pop up I screamed when I saw Paige face. She looked somewhat herself and was smiling at me. Britannia made a sound behind me, "hello there friends."
