Chapter 9: Earth unites with the Solar System
Things have come to normal as before and everything seems like a nightmare, impossible to believe. The ambassador of Gianta is arrested. He confesses the conspiracy by them.
He says “when we saw a life supporting planet moving around in our vicinity, we thought to inhabit it and once again lead a natural life. So, we programmed our satellites, which you call as natural moons in the north and south, to hold it in an orbit. But on closer observation we found that there is an advanced civilization here although far behind in technology than us. But one thing that we feared from you was your immensely advanced nuclear power while we had no defence system at all. So we knew we cannot fight you and so hatched this conspiracy.” A special committee of UNO is set up to decide what should be done with Giantians. Finally it is decided that leaving them scot-free is not safe because they can always stab in the back. They decide to send the message through their ambassador to either surrender or be ready for a war. The alien’s ambassador is send to Gianta with the message. The reply is sent immediately in the form of floating floral display. But this time it is easy to understand as it was written in ‘Bilang’. It reads “we apologize and want to surrender. We will wait for your reply.” There is a great sigh of relief because even humans want to live in harmony with their neighbours. UNO decides to pardon them but only after installing cameras everywhere in Gianta. The discussions are still in process. Everybody is proud of Ami. Ami is showered with felicitations from around the world. Dr Ahuja and his team are already working on a mission to trace Ami’s star.
But all is not well. The aliens are both angry and humiliated because their plan has failed at the last moment and their dream of ruling earth remained a dream. They know that humans will be quite relaxed now and hence decide to strike back. They can not attack but still they know something which would take earth to self disaster. They program their two satellites to release the earth and earth begins to roll freely again in the space. This time it is moving with more speed as if released from strings. Nobody could understand as what is happening. Everybody feels that earth is destined to end, that is why there are these disasters one after the other. But slowly, earth begins to get stable again and rotate in its orbit. It is the familiar sun and the familiar sky. Yes! We are back in our solar system. Earth was attracted by the sun which has again become stable as before, with three new planets and three old ones. Earth occupies the fourth position.
Ami says “I’m receiving some vibrations from my planet and his antennae, between the hairs begun to vibrate rapidly. He focuses on the vibrations and is able to detect his star. The cosmic changes had brought his star somewhere near to our solar system. He is soon sent in the space ship to the space. Divya and Dr. Ahuja also accompany him. Soon Ami locates his star and moves out of the space ship. Divya says “But how will we know that you have reached there safely?”.Ami replies “I and my folks will display a colourful fire works in space which could be seen from your planet. When you see that be assured that I have reached safely.” Divya and others bid him goodbye. He changes to his original form and with a promise to return sometime in future, leaves the spacecraft. Soon he is out of sight. The space craft begins to come back. Divya could not take her eyes off the Ami fading away in vast universe. Her dad consoles her “relax dear, he will be fine.” She nods her head and prays for his safety. After some time, they notice spectacular sparkles lighting the night sky and she understands it is from star Astroda and Ami has reached safely. Everybody rejoices.
“At last, after the long wait of thousands of years, he found his home!” says Divya.
