"Everyone, please be calm. I can forgive those who betray me, but I cannot forgive those who betray Allah."

  "It is not in your place to forgive for Allah's sake. He can do his job himself. You lie, steal, murder, destroy to satisfy your own twisted and bizarre desires and you blame it on Allah. It is because of Dogs like you that Muslims are looked at with suspicion; Muslims are not safe because of you." Zainab said quietly, as the tears rolled down are cheeks. Her whole life had been a lie, her father was a murderer, and the man she was attracted to was a monster. And now, her life and that of her family's was about to end.

  The Master laughed at Zainab's quiet outburst. He was having the time of his life. Allah would be so pleased that he had found the traitors. His life's mission was almost done. It was time to take a break and handover the camp to Yusuf, but first he had to redeem himself.

  "Yusuf! It is time to redeem yourself and correct your mistakes, so that Allah may forgive you. Kill these infidels and attain eternal peace. It’s that simple"

  Yusuf nodded and pulled out his gun, he could see the look of satisfaction in Mariam's eyes, the look fear in Aisha and Latifah eyes, the look of resignation in Suleiman’s eyes. But, the one that hurt him the most was the look of disappointment in Zainab's eyes.

  Yusuf closed his eyes and slowly pointed the gun at The Master.

  "Open your eyes, you are pointing the gun the wrong way." The Master said.

  Yusuf shook his head slowly, as tears rolled down his cheeks "All these years, I did what I did for you. You promised me a chance to avenge my parents and I thought I owed you my life and death. I lost my faith because of you; you killed my parents and made me your slave. You..."

  "No, everything you did, you did for Allah and not me.

  "Allah's will or your will? Not even the devil could do the things you have done."

  "What are you doing, Yusuf?" Mariam asked.

  "Shut up! You have everything I ever wanted; a family and you want to throw it away on the words of this demented man." Yusuf said, without taking his gaze off The Master.

  "Go ahead and shoot me! I own you, I made you, I gave you a life, and I gave you a purpose. I helped you avenge your parents; you will enter paradise because of me. You can't kill me, you live in fear of me, and you worship me." The Master said, with all the confidence in the world.

  "Not anymore" Yusuf said and fired the gun, amidst screams from the women. The bullet went straight into the Master's heart; his eyes widened in surprise as he fell backwards, his walking stick hit the ground before he did.

  "Drop your gun!" Some yelled behind Yusuf, "Drop the gun, this is the police!"

  Yusuf smiled, dropped the gun and kicked it backwards towards the police men. And then put his hands behind his head. They pushed him to the floor and handcuffed him; all the while his eyes never left Zainab's;

  If the world was a different then he would have lived a different life. But it wasn’t and only he was responsible for decisions he made. He was a dead man, but he had a lot to tell, a lot of lives to save before he died. He still had the chance to do something good before he was put death.

  Latifah stared at the lifeless body of The Master in shock; she had just witnessed the murder of a man. She'd been the one to call the police about a strange man in their house, before she found Yusuf and Zainab. Her life would never remain the same.

  Tears flowed ceaselessly down Zainab's face as the police handcuffed Mariam and her father, he had not said a word since; he had become broken man. Her eyes met Yusuf's and she smiled. He no longer had the haunted look in eyes, he was free man. And if the world had been different she might not have gotten to meet him.

  The End.
