moon.

Now I know you finally got

To where you needed to be

You traded a lifetime of misery

But in the end, you reached your goal

  Your piece of blissful eternity.

So, we didn’t get to follow through on our promise

Just remember that it is not broken

We agreed on seeing each other in a couple of weeks

Just remember that I love you

At the end of my time, again we’ll finally meet.

  Crimson

  I can’t see the sun

  With blood-stained tears

  The red-soaked rain that falls

  Summize my fears

But I was never one to give in

  To mere fantasy

  This crimson flood boils over

  Waves of time crash down

  Eroding memories

  Distorted pictures of you

  Imagined mentorings

But I was never one to buy in

  To twisted fantasies

  My helpless rage boils over

Pictures of you hidden from myself

  I don’t want to know

I think of you on that empty shelf

  I can’t let it go

I see you everywhere I turn

  It’s now haunting me

Real or fake, inside it burns

  Please just set me free

  At your stone

  On my knees

Can you hear me through the thunder

  Begging for mercy?

  A break in the clouds

  Did you answer me?

  I collapse from exhaustion.

  Carry Me Home

  Carry me home

  Put on my weight again

  Carry me home

I lost my strength and then

That piercing pain in my side

Still less than when I lost my pride

  Carry me home

That’s what you said to me

  Carry me home

I’d do that for you endlessly

  Temporarily blind

You’ll see you haven’t lost your mind

‘Round in circles, where you goin’?

Lost is just a state of mind

Somethin’s in you, you’re not knowin’

Love, it’s something you can find

I’ll be with you, it won’t feel like a grind

Give it a turn, we’ll watch it all unwind

  We are home

  Wherever we may be

  That’s our home

  Wherever we can see

It feels that all is right

  Together we’ll stand and fight

  For our home.

  About the Author

  R. M. Fraser lives in the Boston, Massachusetts area,

and has been a New Englander all his life, growing up

  in it's most northern reaches.

Holy crap! How weird is that to write a bio about yourself?

I am certainly not going to do this in third person, I can assure

you. I am leaving that there though, for whatever reason,

maybe someone will get a kick out of it. Now I can talk about

myself a bit, I suppose. I am told it will help out a beginning

career (I hope it becomes one, for the record).

I am a New England boy, through and through, no question.

I grew up in a family with Deaf parents, and please note the

capital "D" in the word Deaf. It is there because they are

culturally deaf. It's a future goal to write more about that as

I get older. My work entitled "Pride" is obviously about my

father, but it is also about how he handled life over the years

in a hearing world. It's the only thing I have ever written

about that aspect of my life, but I feel it may have opened up a

floodgate to further works. I am in the process of writing

a fiction novel that delves into such things relating to that.

I'm sure it will help me sort out my own feelings about it,

and be a source of entertainment and understanding for its

  readers.

As for the writing aspect of my life, I have been doing this

with poetry and music for about twenty years. This is the first time

I have published a book, and I want more than anything for you,

the reader, to enjoy it. You may find some of the poems have a

lyrical rhythm, and likely those were originally songs that I wrote.

Perhaps the music will one day be recorded and available as

  well.

That is all about me for now, but I do wish to give special

thanks to my wife for being the best support I could ever

ask for. Her encouragement has given me the motivation

to do something with my writing. If you do get anything

positive out of this, please be sure to thank her, too. Keep

upcoming works (please, please leave a review), and a future

  R. M. Fraser website, where, if you so desire, tell my

  wife how awesome she is.
