Page 2 of Purple Carrots

And had they not punished you,

For standing up like a man,

Standing up for what is right,

While living in a world that’s not,

Things could have been much better,

  Instead of what we’ve got.

  The Juggler

  Like a good juggler,

  I juggled three pins,

  And when I didn’t refuse,

  Two more were tossed in,

  Then like a good juggler,

  I juggled five pins,

  And being a good sport,

  Another one came in,

  Then like a good juggler,

  I juggled six pins,

  But I couldn't say "no",

  Again and again,

  Then like a good juggler,

  I juggled twelve pins,

  But I dropped them all,

  And that was the end.

  The Master Key

The master key has something in common,

  With all the other keys,

Thus, it can open every door,

  From rooms one to twenty-three,

But each and every individual key,

  For rooms one to twenty-three,

Haven’t enough in common with each other,

  Saved for the master key.
