Page 4 of The Pill

sleep, Laura woke up to write a scolding email to Susan, the only one who didn’t call to congratulate. An ad on the screen amused her, it was for the pill. Without any exception whatsoever, now they will be able to sell it to anyone. Although she did not know who did it, she was sure that her organization was the first to put such ads online. They must have bought it in advance, and it was a sign of confidence in her and her actions. To her great surprise, when she pressed on the ad she saw Jack's smiling face. It took her a few minutes to figure out what's going on. The bastard cut out the middleman, and was now selling the pill online at the same price he sold it to them. Her brilliant move made them redundant. A long talk with bookkeeping made it clear how catastrophic the situation is, in all the organizations. Loans taken for the establishment of new research institutes campuses, liabilities for thousands of full scholarships for gender students, scholars who have left universities and colleges for higher paying jobs in the organizations. If the situation is not repaired immediately, not only her political career is dead, all the organizations will go bankrupt within two months, their political influence to disappear. Susan, she must speak with Susan immediately. If their relationship means anything to her, she can make Jack undo what he did. Laura rushed to the hospital, for the first time in her life exceeding the speed limit. She didn’t even know what room Susan was in, a receptionist told her. A male nurse at the entrance tried to say something, she ignored him and pushed her way in, trying to save her career and movement. Susan was sound asleep in bed, above her stood an excited Jack, holding his son.
