  Part of him was terrified of losing her when he had only just been able to get her in his life finally. He knew what happened to immortals that lost their soul mates. Most could not go on. He greatly admired Adele for being able to carry on. Not as though nothing happened, but because she knew that’s what Damian would have wanted her to do. However, if Ally could do all this, then she had a real chance of defeating Vincent. She was destined to fight Vincent that would happen no matter what, but the outcome, that was up to fate.

  Ally was the first to pull back, realizing that she needed to get out of here whilst she could. Standing up, she looked down at James. “I’m really looking forward to our outing, James.”

  “Me too,” he answered staring dreamily at her. “Go get some rest, Ally. I have some business to take care of tonight, but I’ll see you in the morning.”

  Ally smiled again and left the room feeling like she was on cloud nine.

  I hope this lasts…
