Connor smiled. “Mom?” He asked. “Do you have a megaphone?”

“Yeah.” She replied. “Wait, WHAT?! Why do you need at megaphone?”

“Just give it!” Connor said. Connor’s mom gave him the megaphone.

“Do you have a flashlight, a red candy wrapper and a blue candy wrapper?”

“No!” His mom laughed. “Why do you need this stuff?!”

  “Because I do, mom!”

“Look in my fur! Then ask Zoey!” Cricket said. Zoey pulled a flashlight out of her book sack.

  Cricket did bust the piñata!

  Chapter 16: The Flip-Flop

Frank was almost done. He had put toilet paper in the trees, the bushes, and on top of the house. The only thing left he had to do was dart the house.

He grabbed the darts out of the box. Pretty soon, he saw a large car pull up into the yard. Then he heard, “Bee-do! Bee-do!” Little did he know, it was his enemy, Cricket scaring him to death.

“Uh, oh!” The flashlight colored by the two candy wrappers shined on him.

“This is the police! Drop all weapons immediately.” Connor yelled through the megaphone.

  “Dang it!” Frank yelled.

  Chapter 17: The Chase

Frank began to run down the road. “Stop in the name of the law!” Zoey laughed.

“YEAH!” Adisyn added. Everyone gave her the “Are you nuts?” look.

“This is the LAST time I prank a house!” Frank growled under his breath.

He passed by many houses, and turned by thousands of corners. Still, the fake police car kept following

Small little dogs noticed Frank, who was actually smaller than the smallest Chihuahuas, since he was a toy. Their tiny ears perked up and they glared at the growling and running toy wiener dog. Frank got even more scared when the dogs thought he was a chew toy! They all kept chasing him!

Frank turned on the last street and he heard giggling from the police car. He turned his head to see what the commotion was. While he wasn’t looking, he ran into a tree!

“Rats,” Frank groaned as he slid down the tree. “Dead end!”

  Chapter 18: The explanation

“Who’s the loser now?!” Cricket jumped out of the car and laughed herself silly at Frank who was half-conscious.

Frank wearily asked, “Cricket? You’re a police officer?”

Cricket laughed even more. “Uh, no! Huggins and I were scaring you!”

“No,” Ashlynn stepped out of the car, too. “All of us scared you,” Connor, Huggins, Sydni, Adisyn, Zoey and Mary stepped out.

“But why?” Frank whined liked a baby. “What did I do?”

No one knew what to say, since Frank asked something so stupid. “That,” Connor growled. Connor pointed to all of the toilet paper. “And this,” He showed Frank the video of Frank darting Connor’s house. “That was MY house.”

“Frank?” Ashlynn lifted Frank up on top of the car. “Why do you prank people? Why are you so mean to Cricket? Why do you do all that other stuff?”

Frank was uneasy. “Um, no reason!” Ashlynn could tell that Frank was hiding something.

“Are you sure?” Ashlynn asked sympathetically.

Frank sighed. “Can I talk to you for a second? In private?”

“Sure,” Ashlynn replied. The two walked into the back of a few trees.

  Chapter 19: Grounded Again

“Now,” Ashlynn sighed. “What do you need to talk about?”

Frank sighed, “When I was first put in the toy shop, everyone made fun of me since I was a dachshund, and they picked on Cricket, too, because she was nerdy. Since she was the only one that was not mean to me, I picked on her. And the only reason I did all this is because I want you guys to treat me right.” He looked as if he wanted to cry badly.

“I’m so sorry!” He really did begin crying.

“It’s okay!” Ashlynn said as the dog and girl hugged.

After a hugging minute, Frank quickly looked up. “Can I still use my shark tank?”

  Ashlynn scoffed. “No, you’re grounded.”

  “Again?!” Frank yelled.

“But, since you apologized, I’ll make you’re punishment short.”

  “Thanks!”

“But no more toilet paper or darts!”

  “Fine!”

  Chapter 20: Off Punishment Disaster

Sure enough, a few weeks later, Ashlynn woke up to hear something terrible - complete silence. What did Frank do?!

She ran down the hallway to see Huggins’s mouth and body duct-taped to Frank’s door! “Here, let me help you!” Ashlynn unwrapped the tape and took Huggins down.

Huggins gasped a breath. “Frank…… Cricket…… shark tank…..” He gasped.

“Uh, oh,” Ashlynn crossed her fingers.

As she opened the door, Frank screamed maniacally, “Mwah, ha-ha, ha, ha, ha!” and he lowered the string that Cricket was hanging from above the shark tank.

A shark snapped a piece of Cricket’s dress off. “Hey, watch it!” Cricket growled. “I just bought this!!”

  Ashlynn yelled, “FRANK!!!!!!!!!!”

  “Uh, oh,”
