“Help!”
Free of the black wolf, Jack leapt to his feet and searched for his friend. “Where are you, little buddy?”
“Help!”
“Shotgun!” Jack spun towards the cry. Where are you? “Shotgun!”
A grey wolf had pinned Shotgun on the sand. “Help!” Its jaws gripped the dwarf’s arm. A white striped wolf circled Shotgun and the grey wolf. The grey growled at the white and dragged the dwarf in a circle.
“Help!”
Hit it with lightning! No! I might hit Shotgun! He fired kinetic balls at the grey wolf. Blast it Jack!
The grey monster forgot the white wolf, and it glared at him. Now I’ve got your attention! He pummeled the grey, and his blows enraged the wolf.
Clutching Shotgun’s arm in its mouth, the grey wolf shook its head. “Ow, wee!” The dwarf screamed in pain. “Kill it, Jack!”
The grey wolf faced Jack and growled, but it held the dwarf fast.
Shotgun pounded the grey with his fist, but it ignored his blows. “Let go!”
Jack fired more kinetic balls. The monster shook off the blows and retreated under the assault. It dragged the dwarf, and growled at the elf.
Paws crushed sand. Duck! He cringed Duck! He twisted. The black wolf missed its mark. Its jaws snapped shut. Spittle covered his ear.
Jack spun to face the black beast, but it was quick.
The black wolf circled him and struck from behind. It leapt on his back, and snapped at his neck. Jack cast a shield, but the wolf simply tore into his vest and clawed his back.
Mad as a junk yard dog, Jack levitated and slammed into the sand. They smashed into the ground, and he ribbed the feral canine.
The wolf yelped and squirmed away. It rolled to its feet and bolted.
Jack popped to his feet, swung his fists, and fired at the wolf.
Aiming wildly, he fired kinetic balls and blasted the playground. Sand exploded in the air. Swings launched into the night air, and snapped at their chains.
The black beast dashed around the rocking horses, and evaded his blows.
Magic ripped the night. Telekinetic thunderbolts struck the toys. Ponies and unicorns rocked on their springs. Magic drummed the brontosaur, and the noise shook the sand.
Where are the black dwarves? I could raise the dead with this racket!
Unfazed, the black wolf dodged his attacks. Moving fast, it wove through the ponies and the unicorns, and it ducked behind a rocket.
Jack spun around and searched for the dwarf.
Shotgun pounded the grey wolf, and beat its face. The dwarf struggled to shake the monster loose. Spittle flew from its mouth. The white wolf circled them, and its teeth flashed. The grey growled at the white. It was not going to share its prey.
Jack fired at the grey and struck it with a kinetic bolt. The blow stunned the beast, and knocked it back. It dropped the dwarf and growled at Jack.
