“I owed you this.” He couldn’t help smiling as he said it.
“Really? Now I’m intrigued.” She opened the box between them and picked up the black lace thong and bra with her thumb and finger. “Nice, but underwear? Wait, these look familiar. These look just like the ones I lost in Sacramento.”
Mason chuckled and looped his hands behind her back. “I know. I took them.”
“What? Why?”
He kissed her lips lightly. “I didn’t want anyone else to see you in them.”
She shook her head with a smile. “I bought them with you in mind.”
“I wasn’t sure, and I wasn’t taking any chances.”
“Mason Thorne, I didn’t think you had a jealous bone in your body.”
He pulled her closer, crushing the box between them. “Only with you, Chelle.” He kissed her again and said, “How long is this ride, anyway? I want to see you in your gift.”
Chelle smiled. “Is that all you can think about?”
He grinned and began to whisper some other ideas in her ear. Wicked ideas he knew she’d love.
She laughed and smacked him playfully on the chest. “You’re so bad. I love that about you.”
