“Me too, mi cielo. Me too.”
I collapse on top of Mia, my lungs winded and my brain in a blissful fog, thanking God she opted out of the less-sex clause. I’m not sure how long I would’ve made it anyway, especially now that I know how fucking phenomenal she feels raw, skin-on-skin. It’s like my eyes have been opened to a completely new level of sexual indulgence, and I love that she’s the first person I’ve done it with.
“I think you’ve convinced me to make your pancakes,” she titters from underneath me, “but you’ll have to move if you want me to get up.”
Snickering, I prop myself up on my elbows to peer down at her, gently nipping at her swollen bottom lip. “You gonna cook naked for me?”
“No! Why would I do that?”
“Because I want you to,” I retort, like that answer is reason enough.
She playfully rolls her eyes, trying to wriggle free of my weight. “I’m at least going to put some panties on; otherwise, your stuff will ru—never mind. Just no.”
“My stuff will what?” I ask, honestly not knowing what she was going to say.
Turning her face away from me, a pink stain creeps up her neck as she shakes her head against the pillow. “Nothing. Pretend like I didn’t say anything.”
“Mia,” I warn, “look at me and tell me what you were gonna say. There’s no reason to be embarrassed in front of me. Come on.”
Slowly, she returns her gaze to mine, her expression demure. “I was going to say that your stuff will run down my leg.”
“My stuff?”
She curls her nose up in the cutest way, like we’re discussing my cooties or something. “Yeah, ya know, your stuff.”
“Say it. I want to hear you say the word.” God, I love playing with her like this.
Sighing aloud, she glances up at the ceiling and whispers, “Your cum. Your cum will run down my leg.”
And I’m hard again.
“That’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard you say, mi cielo,” I growl as I drop my face to the fluttering flesh in her neck, feeling her pulse against my lips. “Makes me want to fuck you again, so there’s even more to run down your legs while you’re cooking. Maybe I’ll keep you naked all day…”
“Gray, please,” she hisses, now writhing against me instead of trying to get out from under me. My baby may not realize it yet, but she’s a very naughty girl.
I move one of my hands to her sex, burning with desire, and drag a single finger through her wet center, coating it with a mixture of both of our juices from the session that ended not fifteen minutes ago. Lifting the glistening digit to her lips, I raise my eyebrows at her in a silent challenge, which she accepts willingly.
The tip of her tongue darts out from between her lips, swirling around the tip before drawing the whole thing into her mouth. She sucks it clean and pops it out like a lollipop, then smiles up at me as she bats her eyelashes innocently. “Mmmm…” a moan that should be illegal escapes her throat. “Delicious.”
Holy fucking shit. We may never leave this bed.
Slithering her arm down between our bodies, I think she’s going to grab my dick, but instead, she mimics my movement, dipping a finger inside her core and bringing it to my mouth. “Wanna taste us?”
Correction: we are definitely never leaving this fucking bed.
Okay, so we eventually leave the bed, but I still don’t let her get dressed. At least not for today.
After we finally get around to eating—pancakes, of course—we return upstairs to hang out in her room for a lazy afternoon of watching TV and chillaxing. We both grab our phones to check our emails, and as if the day couldn’t get any better, I find a message from Warne & Bennett Financial Advisors, requesting an interview with me for Wednesday morning.
“Mia, look,” I exclaim excitedly, leaning over to show her the email. “This place is one of my top choices. Even though they’re not big in international investments, they’d be a great entry on my resume for later down the line. I’m sure I could learn quite a bit working there.”
“That’s awesome.” She smiles brightly as she reads the brief letter, then looks up, sincere happiness for me shining in her brilliant blue eyes. “I’m so excited of you, Gray. Do you have something to wear for your interview?”
I chuckle and kiss the top of her head. “I should probably go buy something new. You wanna go shopping with me tomorrow, and then we can grab something to eat after? It’ll be our first date.”
“I’d love to, Uno,” she replies sassily before sliding down underneath the covers and showing me just how excited she really is.
MY GYM SESSION TUESDAY MORNING is a killer. With the combination of skipping Monday, which I never do, and the workout Gray’s given me in the last two days, I’m not sure my wobbly legs are going to make it during the last fifteen minutes on the elliptical.
Somehow, I manage to power through without totally embarrassing myself, which is a damn good thing, because as I’m doing my cool down, I notice my trainer-friend, Holden, in the mirror, doing a new member orientation with none other than Celeste Sullivan.
Well now, isn’t this just fucking peachy?
Rolling my shoulders back confidently, faking it whether I feel it or not, I plaster a sunny smile on my face as they approach the cardio area. I will not let that woman think she gets to me.
“Hey, Mia! How’s it going?” Holden addresses me with his usual cheery attitude. “I didn’t see you around yesterday. Are you feeling okay?”
I stop jogging and hop off the machine, turning to face them as I wipe the sweat from my face and neck with my towel. “I’m good…great, actually. I was just busy yesterday, couldn’t seem to get out of the house.” Adding I was naked in bed with Gray all day would be completely inappropriate, right?
“I understand that. Glad to see you back today.” He grins, having no idea of the thick tension building between me and the woman standing next to him. “This is our newest addition, Celeste Sulliv—hey, wait a minute, your last name is Sullivan too. Are y’all related by any chance?”
“Absolutely not,” Celeste snorts, raising her nose in the air snootily.
The bitch actually snorts as if being related to me is some preposterous notion, like she’s too good for me. She wasn’t too good to take my sloppy seconds…
Rolling my eyes and shaking my head, I focus my attention on Holden. “Not unless you consider sleeping with your friend’s husband for years, and then marrying him the minute they get divorced being related,” I reply sweetly, still wearing the same phony-ass smile.
I don’t even bother glancing in her direction. I won’t give her the satisfaction. Truth is she’s now married to a selfish, dishonest, over-controlling asshole, who’s both lazy and boring in bed, and I’m sleeping with her sex-on-a-stick son, who’s given me more orgasms in the last few weeks than Mark did in over twenty years. Not much of a comparison if you ask me.
“Oh, wow,” he mumbles under his breath, taking a step back from us both. “I…uh—I didn’t realize. I’m sorry.” Tilting his head toward the free weight section of the gym, he grabs Celeste’s elbow and damn near yanks her in the opposite direction. “Why don’t we start in a different area?”
“Good to see you, Holden,” I call out after him, unable to hide the chuckle dying to escape.
Damn, even when unplanned, revenge is so incredibly sweet.
“You ready to go, woman?” Gray asks with a sexy smirk toying at his lips as he saunters up behind me at the bathroom vanity. He’s been dressed and ready to go—wearing a pair of dark jeans with a wheat-colored shirt that makes him look downright edible—for about fifteen minutes, flipping through one of my celebrity news magazines while he waits for me.
Pausing mid-stroke with the mascara wand hovering over my eye, I smile at him through the mirror and tease, “What, did you run out of Kardashian news to read, or couldn’t find the latest nude Olivia Munn pics?”
“There were naked pictures? And I missed them?” he jests
back, pretending like he’s going back to get the magazines again before closing the space between us. “I kid. I kid. I’m just ready to get the shopping over with so we can eat.”
“Give me ten minutes and I’ll be good to go,” I reply, finishing my eye makeup and grabbing my lip gloss. “I have to be pretty for our first date, ya know.”
“You’re never just pretty, mi cielo.” He presses his lips to the back of my neck, shaking his head in disagreement. “You’re fucking gorgeous all the time, which is why if I have to watch you prance around here in this sexy little bra and panties much longer,” the gentle kiss turns into a playful bite, inflicting just enough pressure to make me tingle all over, “the date will be postponed and I won’t have anything to wear to my interview.”
I spin around in his arms and chastely kiss his lips before sidestepping toward my closet. “Okay, all I have left is to put my clothes on.”
As promised, a few minutes later, I’m standing in my bedroom in a long, black sundress that’s both casual and feminine, paired with cute black sandals, ready to go. Gray takes one look at me and groans, running his fingers through his thick, dark locks.
“A dress? Are you trying to kill me?”
“Gray, it touches the floor. You can’t even see any leg,” I contend, laughing softly at his silly reaction.
He steps behind me, smoothing his hands across my shoulder blades and down my back to squeeze my butt. “No, but I know what’s under this thin cotton, and it’s going to be taunting me all afternoon,” he growls.
“Good,” I smirk. “Now let’s go, Uno. You need clothes, and we both need food.”
Gray opens the door to his truck for me, which I’m pretty sure is just as much to catch another glimpse of my ass bent over in front of his face as it is to be a gentleman, but I appreciate both motives. He gives me free reign over the radio, which is currently set to a sports talk station, so I tune it to the local top forty station as I sit back and relax, enjoying the easy comfort between the two of us.
Without even realizing it, I find myself singing along with the music as we travel down the highway, something I always do when I’m driving alone. First, I join the girls of pop for a little bang bang into the room, in which Gray finds my rapping skills quite humorous, not bothering to hide his deep laughter. Then, I help Taylor Swift write her next mistake’s name into a blank space while he starts to tap out the beat with his thumb on the steering wheel, smiling contently. But it’s when I’m harmonizing with Ed Sheeran’s latest single, Thinking Out Loud, that I find him continually sneaking peeks over at me, his radiant eyes overflowing with joy as he hums along with me, eventually joining in with the lyrics in the final chorus.
I hesitate to claim we share a moment while singing about finding love right under your nose, but the goose bumps covering my skin and the warm, mushy feeling inside my chest say otherwise. I realize we’re a long way from love, but the hope inside me that I’ll be able to find it again in this life grows a tiny bit.
The song comes to an end right as we pull into a parking spot at the mall, and before I can get out, he grabs my hand and lifts it to his mouth, kissing my inner wrist. “You never told me you can sing.”
“That’s ‘cause I don’t do it well,” I snicker.
“Liar,” he retorts flippantly, opening his door. “Now I’m gonna make you perform concerts for me…naked.”
Three hours later, we’re finally leaving the mall, both loaded down with shopping bags. Gray ended up buying several pairs of slacks, numerous dress shirts, a new pair of jeans, and three new pairs of shoes. He then insisted on walking down to the lingerie department, where he picked out several different bra and panties sets, and a shimmery blue nightie that he said would make my eyes pop while he was fucking me later tonight. I think the sales associate choked on her own tongue when he said it, as she had to excuse herself to resume normal breathing, and then refused to make eye contact while we were checking out.
“That was fun,” he says happily while storing our purchases in the extra cab of the truck. “You ready for dinner?”
On cue, my stomach growls loud enough for him to hear several feet away. “You could say that,” I joke.
“Good. I think you’re really gonna like where we’re going.”
After a quick drive, which involves more vocal performances by yours truly, with Gray on the backup instrumentals, we arrive at a little place just on the outskirts of town that other than a parking lot full of cars and a small sign that reads Tookie’s, there is no indication that this place is a restaurant at all. The building resembles an old cottage made of hunter green siding with yellow trim, and the second I step outside of the truck, the delicious aromas of whatever is being prepared inside infiltrate my nose, sending a message directly to my belly.
“This place has the best burgers you’ve ever tasted in your life,” Gray announces, clasping my hand in his as we walk toward the entrance. “My grandpa used to bring me here pretty much every Sunday before he died.”
“Your grandpa?” I question, wondering why he’s never talked about him before.
He opens the door for me without responding, but once the hostess seats us at a small table in the corner of the homey grill, he answers, “My grandparents are from Augusta, which is where my mom was raised. When my mom was a senior in high school, my grandmother passed away from cancer, and from what I understand, Mom became quite rebellious afterwards. She and my grandpa had a big fight, lots of them actually, and she ended up moving out. That’s when she came to Athens, where she got knocked up by some random guy.”
Our server stops by the table to get our food and drink order, briefly interrupting the story, but as soon as he’s gone, Gray continues.
“Anyway, she was too prideful to move back home and accept any help from her dad, so I was born and she was a single mom, always working two or more jobs to make ends meet. The two of them never really made amends, but he was dead set on being a part of my life, seeing that I was his only grandchild. Every Sunday, he would drive up and bring me here to eat, and then we’d either go shopping, to the park, or something fun.”
Sadness flickers in his eyes as he remembers someone who was obviously an important part of his life.“He died a couple of years ago from a heart attack. Didn’t leave my mom a single thing; everything in his will went to his new wife, except a savings account he’d put money in for me. Now that I’m older, I realize he was just as stubborn as she was, which is a shame, but there’s nothing that can be done about it now.”
I reach across the table and rest my hands on top of his, thankful he shared the story with me. “You can’t change the past and you can’t control other people’s actions and words. All you can do is learn from it…from them. Don’t make the same mistakes they did.”
Nodding, he smiles sweetly across the table at me, the mood changing instantly. “Beautiful, talented, and wise. How did I get so lucky?”
“Flattery will get you far, Uno, but you’ve already gotten in my pants. It’s really not necessary,” I tease.
He pulls his hands out of mine, placing them over his heart as if I’ve wounded him. “Think what you want, Mia, but I only speak the truth. There’s no need for bullshit lines, which is one of my favorite things about you.”
“What’s that?” I whisper, almost afraid to hear the answer.
“You don’t play games, don’t pretend to be someone you’re not, unlike the immature shit girls my age try to pull. You’re unapologetically real, which is not only refreshing, but sexy as hell.” Leaning in to me, his voice drops to a low rumble. “Don’t assume just because I’m young I’ve ever had the sexual appetite I have when I’m around you. This is all new to me too, and I’m not complaining one bit, but it’s all you.”
I suck in a deep breath at his candid words and look down at the white and blue checkered tablecloth, the sincerity in his voice affecting me both emotionally and physically.
“You drive me fucking crazy, mi cielo.” H
e places his thumb under my chin and tilts it up so I’m staring into his intense eyes. “Whether you’re cooking or painting, watching TV or reading, even when you’re sleeping—God, especially when you’re sleeping—I want you all the time. And it’s not just about getting off, it’s about being inside you…being as close as I fucking possibly can, claiming you as mine.”
My heart is beating faster than the wings of a hummingbird as his words swirl around in my head, rendering me completely speechless. I don’t even react when the server sets the plate of hot food and the coke in front of me. I just can’t…
“I didn’t mean for things to get this heavy on our first date, but I’m not gonna play games either, Mia. I’ve only got six weeks to show you I’m serious about this, about you,” he declares with a small smile, picking up a French fry and holding it to my mouth. “Now I’ll shut up so we can eat and have fun.”
Maybe I came on a little strong yesterday morning and tonight at dinner, but oh well. I said what I wanted to say, what I needed to say, and now I’ll shut my mouth and show her how great we can be together, and not just in bed. Starting tonight.
We get home from dinner, and although she’s been a little quieter than normal, she relaxed quite a bit as we enjoyed our amazing burgers and then shared a banana split afterwards. With a little coaxing, I even got her singing on the way home, which put a never-ending smile on my face. The little minx surprises me with something new nearly every day.
“Why don’t you go upstairs and get ready for bed,” I suggest when we walk through the door. “I’ll take the trash out to the curb, then I’ll meet you there.”
She peers up at me, almost as if she’s making certain I’m serious, and then agrees. “Okay, thank you.” Rising up on her tiptoes, she kisses my cheek before heading up to her room, stopping at the top of the steps to look back at me watching her. “Do you want me to wear my new nightie?”
