  Missing

Who told you that your dreams were worthless?

What made you decide to run away?

Where did you go, on that terrible night?

Why did you think that we would shout?

Who was it who twisted your mind?

What were you thinking, leaving us alone?

Where are you now, my darling son?

Why did you leave, driving us away?

Who are you with now, instead of me?

What are you doing, without your kin?

Where are you living, a place safe and warm?

Why haven't you come home, after all this time?

Who are you now, my growing son?

What do you do for food, you poor little thing?

Where do you sleep, my cold little lamb?

Why won't you return, to the place where you belong?

Technical Aspect: The first word is always Who, What, Where or Why in that order.

Explanation: Have you ever felt like running away? Have you ever felt like leaving everything behind and starting anew? Now think about those left behind. Think about how it feels to be abandoned, to be deserted, to be rejected. The mother who will never know what happened to her child. Did they suffer? Did they succeed? This is a poem dedicated to those left behind, may their hearts find peace.
