This is the story of two very different girls who became friends. Theybegan by being anything but friendly and Jane who was "new" found lifein school rather unpleasant. As for Jane, troubles came herway thick and fast, and with the accident as a dreadful climax to themisunderstanding in school, it seemed as if there was nothing left forher to cling to. But Jane found that trouble, met by a brave heart, winsfriends, and friends mean more than anything else.
All sorts of wonderful things happened after Judith and Jane becamefriends. And then the thrilling adventure that might have ended sotragically! It was a friend again who saved the day; a stranger, aborrowed nickel and--but that would be telling the tale.
