Day 3007. Well we're headed back. We should rendezvous with the larger ship in 24 hours.
Day 3012. Medical and environmental cleared the ship. The engineering crew is headed over after lunch.
Day 3055. The alien spacecraft is operational. Our spaceship is in one of its cargo bays.
Day 3063. Newest alien spacecraft back in Saturn system and team will start reverse engineering it to see if it has any improvements over Buckler.
Day 4022. The newest spacecraft renamed Shield. The captain made me captain of it and I only have a minimum crew. All my crew are couples and we've even got 4 children aboard.
I couldn't even fly it if they hadn't figured out the computers. Almost everything is automated. This spacecraft came from outside of the Sol system and was abandoned. No entries in the captains log explanation why. The star maps are extensive and have been copied and transferred to the Buckler and its shuttles.
Day 4055. A plan was submitted to the council that every time our population exceeds 5 million, we send out a colony ship that will start another human civilization. The plan list five yellow stars down the Orion arm that should have planets. The first of these stars is further than any of the colony locations listed in the Shields computers and in a different direction.
