Page 2 of Humanity's Voice

Bruises, cuts and a broken nail,

  Considered to be quite hale.

  "Growth"

  Break from reality,

  Atoms slip into

  Another dimension,

  The hand spins.

  Vision of old man,

  Inner voice whispers,

  Wiser to reside

  In physical world.

  Lift with lower limbs

  Heaving self-doubt,

  Swap with confidence,

  Smaller yet potent.

  "Plus"

  Water reflects judging eyes,

  Words edging on tongue.

  Healthy to confront flaws,

  Harmful with obsession.

  Contentment with self,

  Must share positivity.

  Approach a jittery soul,

  Incoherent mumblings.

  Introduction of names,

  Squeeze a handshake.

  "Creativity"

  Unfold French easel,

  Stare at blank canvas,

  Absence of colors,

  Pout toward reality.

  Fireworks whistle,

  Booming explosions,

  Millions of shades,

  Imagination invents.

  Fusing both worlds,

  Twirl swirling dyes,

  A splash of water,

  Mix without foam.

  Brushing in strokes,

  Passion sears hands,

  Yet no rigid motions,

  Animate this sketch.

  "Legacy"

  Gracefully stroke quill pen,

  Ink flows into an artwork,

  Plain, white paper at first,

  Talent polishes rough edges,

  Vivid imagination unmatched,

  Cling to life until completion,

  Counterattack withering body,

  Name engraves in history,

  Worth living a brief period.

  "Replica"

  Door knob creaks,

  Tap light switch,

  Dusty bulb flickers,

  Glimmers on faces,

  Feeble heart jumps,

  Deep breathing,

  Wipe sweaty nose,

  Merely portraits,

  Realistic though.

  "Pretend"

  Lips imitate movements,

  Though absence of sound,

  Tongue rooted or crippled?

  Feigning participation

  To deceive lurking eyes,

  Ever heard of multitasking?

  Actually daydreaming

  To speed the ticking hand.

  "Self-Digest"

  Dragging feet all day,

  Empty core shrinks,

  Spinning in illusions,

  Rumbling hysterically,

  Sunlight dazzles sight,

  Wobble from dizziness,

  Knees plunge into grass,

  Eyes squint then shut,

  Body tumbles to its side,

  Laying on a natural bed,

  While cells devour itself.

  "Regrets"

A man lies silently on his bed,

  Staring endlessly into a void,

Stiff to not even shudder slightly,

  Not registering the surroundings,

  Reminiscences unforgettable events.

  Wakes daily with little motivation,

  Backbone submerges in sorrow,

Strains to raise the drenched body,

  Removed of courageous confidence,

Plunges to the deepest pits where

  Evil emerge from pitiful depression.

  Darkness hungers for anything,

  Consuming shadows savor flesh,

  Each swallow devours the soul,

  Unbearable shrieks haunt the living,

  Eventually vain struggles succumb,

A shame glitters down from the eyes.

  Night elapses to welcome day,

  Sunbeams outline puffy clouds,

  Streaming waves of crisp warmth,

  Weather symbolizes replenished hope,

  Illuminating light dissolves worries,

  Horrid nightmare from imagination,

  Don't waste time to contemplate.

Starts practice of kneeling in prayers,

  Smiling from soothing thoughts,

  Eager to share newfound happiness,

Within reaches of the outside world,

  Suddenly collapses from affliction,

  Agony of uncontrollable coughing,

Thick blood spatters on sweaty palms,

Still jagged anguish grips the heart.

  "Double Jeopardy"

  Lost precious phone,

  Friend's temporary loan,

  Swift recovery to atone,

  Device's location unknown,

  Return to last place known,

  Tedious to ransack alone,

  Must lift even a stone,

  Inquire this elderly crone,

  Nothing except a groan,

  Twirl toward a subtle tone,

  Agile body thrown

  Into slithering prone,

  Only unearthed a bone,

  Operation retrieval blown,

  Materializes a blaring drone,

  Prototype of R2-D2's clone?

  Urgent weather of zone,

  Impelling gales grown

  Into a howling cyclone.

  "Moisture"

  Tap on solid ground,

  Instead kicking liquid,

  Flimsy yet resistant,

  Cumbersome mobility,

  Fatten by soaked cotton,

  Plenty trouble to float,

  Mouth cursed since birth,

  A droplet pops on nose,

  Grey clouds spreading,

  Block all sunbeams,

  "Smell a storm brewing,"

  That would be a fib,

  Not one with nature,

  Flapping back to shore,

  Beef stew for dinner.

  "Unforgettable"

  Remain running on rutty road,

Salty sweat stains dark salmon skin,

  Strains stress skeletal structure,

  Exerting energy till exhaustion,

  Expanded eyes emit emotions,

  Surprises spring to stop senses.

  Terrifying trance that traps,

  Shining rays shoot straight,

  Bizarre sounds blast sanity,

  Character collides with car,

  Plastic punctures projected person,

  Grind against gravel on grounds,

Cuts cause the mind to cease,

  Shirt soaks with spilled blood,

  Vision vanishes as life languishes.

  Fountain supplies sloshing sounds,

  Spouting water upon smooth slabs,

Standing to see the stunning sights,

Green garden replete with ruddy roses,

  Dazzling daises with lilt lilies,

  Guarded by gentle guardians,

  Hypnotizing hummingbirds,

  Small, scrambling squirrels,

  Black bears boldly begin belching.

A separating slit spread by spirits,

  Captivating, crystal eyes emerge,

  Soft breeze suspends silky hair,

  Not dangling down defies gravity,

Rub each eyeball for reality check,

  Twirl thumbs toward temples,

  Mistakes from mental mirage.

  Vocalizing voice vents vibrations,

  Calming any calamities available,

  Regretful heart roots in rejuvenation,

  Air bubbles bursting in atmosphere,

Soothing spectacle shifts spirit to sleep.

  Scarce, second chance spares splitting,

  Reaper rages regarding disrupted ritual,

Secure soul in shell with a snatch,

  Stationary body shakes from shock,

Awaken in a room with white walls.

  Rather rounded individuals intrude,

  Crafty clothing suppress chucklin
g,

  Scheming strategies without suspicion,

Spot a stool to shatter sealed windows,

Strike stomachs side sections in defense,

  Drastic desperation to disperse despair,

  Crying calls for childhood companions,

  Administer double dose of anesthesia.
