THE BLESSING

I mention this in the acknowledgements section of the book, LN. I happened to watch a T.V. show where Kerry Kirkwood was talking about the power of the blessing. The prayer that Liz says over Terrence in LN is what Mr. Kirkwood prayed over the viewing audience. He has written a book entitled “The Power of The Blessing” if you’d like more information.

  DECEPTION

Just wanted to include a short blurb on this topic – in the book NW, the enemy deceives Rev. Styles into thinking that his “cause” is a holy one. Please be aware that God does not support every “good cause”. Please exercise your own discernment and do your own praying before hopping on someone else’s bandwagon. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, that Satan appears as an angel of light, and those who serve him masquerade as servants of righteousness. For every gift God has, the enemy has a counterfeit.

  DEMON

A demon is a maleficent spirit. The bible says they only come to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10) They war against God and Christians, hoping to take souls away from the kingdom of God. Acts 19:13-16

  DELIVERANCE

Deliverance is the process where people are set free from demonic oppression and/or possession. It is addressed in the book EM. We obviously can’t see demons, but some people are greatly affected by them in a negative way. We rarely hear of this ministry in the U.S., but in other parts of the world, it is very common. There are a few new books added to the recommended reading list if you’d like to learn more about the subject. Also, check out TB Joshua on YouTube to see the process in action (just search for his name on the site).

  QUOTES FROM NO WEAPON

Below are the quotes that start each chapter in No Weapon. While I was writing the book, I kept running across these quotes that corresponded to the chapters I was writing. I decided to include them as a precursor for each chapter. It’s the only book in the Good News Series that has quotes at the beginning of each chapter, but I’m not opposed to doing it again, if it works out that way.

  Prologue

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don’t mean to do harm… (But) they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves ~ T.S. Eliot

  Chapter 8

We must not be deceived into believing we can do as we please, live contrary to God’s laws, and still be welcome before our Father, let alone move in significant intercessory authority for others… God unquestionably links our authority level to our purity level. ~ Dutch Sheets

  Chapter 9

The first virtue in a soldier is endurance of fatigue; courage is only the second virtue ~ Napoleon Bonaparte

  Chapter 10

There’s a time to pray, but there’s a time to speak. You don’t pray about your mountains, you speak to your mountains. You command them to go… Your mountain responds to your voice. ~ Joel Osteen

Tell the truth and shame the devil. ~ Big Mama

  Chapter 12

There is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known ~ Jesus

  ***

Someone once asked why I chose to write about spiritual warfare. The simple answer is I experience it, but I know I’m not the only one. I guess these books were written, in part, to let me vent a little. But I also wrote them to let others, who’ve had similar experiences, know that they aren’t alone.
