exhilarating, is what is virtual. One day will come when virtual will be so real that the real will be virtual. To a virtual being reality is a virtual. The room was in the virtual world, where the virtual being sleeps and the real would be another world. Needless world ...”

The new stage of Hugh treatment was exactly the withdrawal of all devices that were linked to him. This was a great relief to him that would no longer have to stay connected to wires and hoses. He was going to a common room of the hospital, those who have far less frightening aspect, without all those machines, almost like a hotel room. Best of all this was that Hugh would no longer be cared for by only machines, but he would have more human contact.

Ubi was present when they made that exchange. Two nurses put Hugh's body on a stretcher. Ubi stayed away, but he looked at the whole body of Hugh. Ubi at no time touched Hugh. Maybe is the doctor, perhaps is the father, or something that he wished hidden in his conscious, a fear of touching this strange new body of Hugh.

“... Okay! Now that the child exists, now that this being was born, who is to be the father? All of us, our whole society, are we the inventors? We all did. So his father is upset with what seems he has managed to generate...”

There was intense movement in the body of Hugh, all clearly spasmodic. Hugh's eyes were spinning in random movements, stood still for a while and suddenly moved up confused. Hugh's expression was also spasmodic, as if it had numerous tics. In a second the expression was crying, suddenly change to laughing and after strangeness, like those expressions followed one another in an instant. Ubi remembered those days he saw Hugh as a baby, because that baby was very similar expressions to those Hugh was doing now.

Hugh was placed in bed in the room and nurses got out. Ubi was standing next to Hugh. Ubi knew that cameras were filming the room continuously, they were being filmed at that present moment. Ubi has remained static in that position. He looked at Hugh's face, he saw those expressions spasmodic, through laughter, through joy, through sorrow, and he tried to identify his son Hugh in this new face. For years Ubi had time to learn every feature of the expression of his son, knew when he was sad, when he was cheerful and when he was worried, but this time there was no recognition of expressions on the new face of Hugh, nothing. Ubi tried to convince himself that this effect was only a plastic phenomenon, drawing lines and dashes. But he is remaining staring into the face of Hugh strangely. Intellectually he knew he was looking for his son but his eyes said otherwise. It's always hard to argue with the reality brought by the eyes.

It was exactly this way that Ubi left that room that day without touching on Hugh.

Before leaving the hospital he called the nurse Cida to take care of Hugh. Cida was an old fellow, he had confidence in her. Cida played clearly in the Ubi's team, he had need for someone like her.

Experts looked at all times for test results that Hugh was subjected to daily. Day after day they were surprised by the results pointing to positive, even the most optimistic would be.

“... is an undeniable fact, humans are a bunch of atoms, that's it. Everything inside the human being is just atoms that are related. But it is also a fact that atoms exist only in the dimension of atoms, when you look on the face of your friend, you do not see atoms, sees his friend. Humans therefore are not in the dimension of the atom. This is the paradox. If it were possible to control the atoms, we could do anything with a human; like turn his face, his expression, his memories, his ideas, and his feelings. Yes, absolutely yes. If you realize that every human action originally is an atomic action then the expression, memories, ideas and even feelings are atomic. For the smiling countenance of his friend, it is only necessary that an incredible amount of atoms are related. But what is the value of these relationships within the atomic dimension, none, but just that the atomic motions, namely, an atom pulls electrons from another there in the brain, one atom approaches another in the muscles of the face, another atom moves away from the blood, that's it. Smiles do not exist in atomic dimension. That is, the human is born in the atomic dimension, but transcends this dimension to a more complex one, just the human dimension, where a smile on his friend's face has numerous meanings and designing numerous reactions. Atoms can’t control a human, neither molecules, or drugs, even genetics, humans transcend all that, the humans are more complex than all the atoms that compose them...”

Then specialists realized what was happening with Hugh. He was just at the stage of a baby, which was a strange phenomenon. A brain already developed was re-learning how to move the hands, feet, eyes, every muscle. And yet, re-learning the dimensions of the body and rearranging the data of the senses. It was for this Hugh's spasms. With each new day the spasms decreased and Hugh's brain improved to control movement in the new body.

“... let there be light. He can see. Yes, the optician said that Hugh can see. He can see. Although the images taken by the eyes are not being processed in the brain of Hugh, yet he is seeing. Hugh's brain seems able to effectively control the eye muscles, it can focus, definitely...”

  //The-Today/hourly/11Hours/

“... now! That much crap these guys when they say that Hugh is seeing, pure nonsense. What is actually happening is that the eyes of Hugh work. So is that enough? Eyes are working is nothing. By comparison macabre, a man without eyes is a human being, but an eye without a human is sadness. What are his eyes really? Only glass windows through which light enters and becomes a significant boost to the brain. Images in the brain are not light. The brain is not a screen, it not works like one. An image of light that enter through your eyes, will never be light on your brain. The brain is not a kingdom of light. Images are brain signs, which are operated, organized, stored, and only come back as a result of energy operations within the brain. There is no light in the brain, only sentimental memories and impressions of what you have seen or see. The eye is a brain tool of constant sentimental instigation. Who do know what the light that enters through the eyes of Hugh mean in his brain? ...”

Frances disregarded the CHUG and made requests to have legal right to pay a personal visit to Hugh in the hospital. International treaties that had allowed the country's judicial system let whole to the UN investigation, it is a primary port for cooperation between the competent national and international, in a way the national entity would not want the big problem of having to deal with facts globally relevant, so it was always better than the UN would take care of such cases, this results in greater fairness and respect for others countries. However Frances gained approval for a court visit. What revealed some outrage on the part of the national entity, and some protests at the UN, but the national independence of the judiciary is always a stronghold.

Ubi, as the doctor in charge, could stay in the room when Frances would meet Hugh. But Ubi announced to the lawyer of Frances that he would just watch her visit by the cameras. And so he did.

On the appointed day of her visit, Frances arrived early at the hospital and had to wait. She was agitated. When she had the green light she rushed breathlessly into the hallway and entered the room where Hugh was. What she saw left her there, astonished. The nurse Cida was feed him, just as mothers give food for babies. Frances was approaching slowly this time. She looked with eyes sprawled to Cida and Hugh. Of course she did not see Hugh, she saw his son Louis. Frances was not surprised to see his son Louis alive, because for her, Louis had never died, she was stunned with the baby face of Hugh, because that face of him was no longer a baby face.

Frances went to the nurse, smiling, took the plate from her hands that contained a white pope and she began to give the food in the mouth of Hugh. Ubi was in another place in that hospital and watched this scene by cameras and he narrowed his lips. The nurse smiled and gave to Frances a cloth and then withdrew from the r
oom, leaving Hugh and Frances alone, of course, there was cameras containing the eyes of many ghosts. Anyone could see that room by the Internet.

Frances slowly wiped the mouth of Hugh, looking at him. Frances exuded a lot of happiness, genuine happiness. But the eyes of Hugh were cold, except one or another wink. Somehow Hugh's eyes seemed to strive to fix Frances, trying recognizing Frances.

Sitting on the bed she spent most of her time there, stroking the face of Hugh. No words, there was only a deep silence. Ubi had his eyes closed in front of screens that showing the interior of the Hugh's room, he chose did not see those scenes. The words of the nurse to Frances, in that room, make Frances get out of her torpor.

  - Sorry, but your time is over. - Cida said.

  - I can't believe it's already over so soon! - Frances noted. I gotta go my son, but I will fight to get you out of here as soon as possible and you'll return to me.

Frances leaned over and hugged him long and hard. Ubi sadly watched the whole thing. Suddenly Ubi was surprised. With a few hand commands, one of the cameras gave a close in the face of Hugh. There was an expression of fear and sadness in the face
