First, I would like to thank my Heavenly Father for the gift He has given me. He has given me many gifts, but the gift of creative writing is one of my favorite ones. I do have some religious poems in this collection, along with romance, friendship, and just some random ones.

I have been writing poems since I was 16 years old. Many people have inspired the poems I have written, even if they are no longer in my life.

I hope that you will enjoy these poems as much as I enjoyed writing them.

This is nowhere near all of my poems; it’s just the ones I selected for the first book of poetry.

Life is short; so don’t let the fear of rejection hold you back. Step out of the box and spread your wings and fly.

All poems in this collection are the soul owner of the author. If you wish to use any of them even for personal use, please contact me and obtain written permission.

  Daddy

  The comfort of your arms

  I will never feel again

  The memories we made

  Will forever live

  You taught me

  To love

  You taught me

  To live

  You touched

  Many lives

  Your love and memory

  Will forever go on

  Today I said good-bye

Now you taught me to let go

  Fear

  The memories rushed back

  Like a strong current

  I tried to block them

  I tried to fight

  The pain you caused

  Will never be forgotten

  The innocence you took

  Will forever be a dream

  I want to let go

  I want to move on

  You want me to forgive

How do I forgive if I can’t forget

  Your voice evokes fear

  Your words bring pain

  Forget about me

So I can try to forget about you

  As long as I live

  I will avoid your path

  As long as I breathe

  I will fear you.

  My Love

  My love for you

  Is stronger than any other

  We have a love

  That many don’t understand

  The road ahead

  May not always be smooth

  But our love

  Will guide us through

  You are my best friend

  And my anchor

  You are my knight

  My protector

  You are my everything

  I love you.

  Forbidden Fruit

  The fruit was tempting

  It was ripe and inviting

  You could smell the sweetest

The way it glowed in the sunlight

The beam of light cast from the moonlight

  The path was direct

You yearn to touch the fruit

  To feel its tenderness

You can’t resist the play of light

Each time of day brings a new desire

  It empowers your dreams

  It fills your desires

  It is

  The forbidden fruit.

  Heart Beats

  My heart beats

To the rhythm of our love

  Each beat

  Brings a tear

  The cracks in my heart

Allow the tears to fall out

  I wait

  For it to break

  Or for you

  To mend my broken heart.

  I Desire You

  Place your collar

  Around my neck

  Tell me

  That I’m yours

  I want

  To please you

  I want

  To serve you

  I want

  To honor you

  Let me

  Be your submissive

  Allow me

To kneel before you.

  In a Dream

  I dreamed of you

  When I was little

  A place far away

  I felt your arms

  You held me

  When I was scared

  You wiped

  Away my tears

  Words of comfort

  Words of advice

  You filled my thoughts

  You filled my heart

  Most important

  You filled my life

  Years went by

I always knew you were there

  Finally one day

  I met you

  You were always my mom

  In my dreams

  Now you are my mom

In my heart and my life.

  Link Together

  My heart

  Cries out to you.

  Miles separate us

  But still it beats

  Listen to the rhythm

As it will blend with yours

  Close your eyes

  What do you see

  I see our dreams

  As they link together

  Farewell

  I close my eyes

  And I see your face

  When I feel sad

I imagine your arms around me

  Your voice surrounds me

It is sweeter than any music

  I run to you

For the good and the bad

As long as our hearts beat as one

No distance will ever separate us

  Together we can conquer

What most will try to break apart

You are my dream come true

And I am your loving grace

  My Protector

  You were there

Even when I didn’t see you

  You fought

  The Monsters

  Chased away

  The bad dreams

  I heard your voice

But could never see your face

  You gave me

  Words of advice

  You taught me

  To Fly

  You believed in me

When I didn’t believe in myself

  You encouraged me

  To Dream

  Most importantly

You showed me how to reach the stars

  My World

  You came to me

Like a feather in the wind

  You bring me sunlight

When the clouds are dark and grey

  You became my umbrella

  In the pouring rain

  You are my lighthouse

When I feel lost at sea

  You are my blanket

  On those lonely nights

  You are the glue

That put my heart back together

  You are the other half

  That makes me whole.

  What is a Mother’s Love

  A mother’s Love

  Is never ending.

  Or so that is what

  We are always told

  A mother’s love

  Is unfailing

  At least we

  Want to believe

As the weeks turn to months

  And the months into years

  We will always ask

  What is a mother’s love

  Each-Night

I pray for you each night

And think of you each day

Each thought seems to make each day harder

For I always want to be with you.

  Broken Dreams

Some dreams are like a sand castle

  When a wave comes along

  It gets knocked down

  Sometimes it gets rebuilt

  But most of the time

The wave just carries it out

If the dream is strong enough

  It will stay standing

No matter how big the wave is.

  I Wish

  A day won’t come

That I won’t think about you

  There won’t be a night

  Which I won’t wish

  That you were here

So I could hold you tight

Each thought will be of you

  And each wish, will wish

  That you were here

  But one day

  My wish may come true

And I could tell you how much I love you

  When I Saw You

  When I saw you

  I knew I loved you

But did you feel the same

  I think of you

  Throughout the day

  And dream of you

  All through the night

  A moment won’t pass

  That I won’t be there

To tell you I love you

  If I Could

  I’d give you the world

  If I could

  But I can’t

  So will you take

  My heart instead

  Morning Dew

  The morning dew

  Covers the whole ground

  God put it there

  To remind us

  Of his presence

  And his love

  As you walk on God’s

  Freshly washed ground

  Remember to thank Him

  For all that He’s done

  Your Letter

  I wait everyday

  For your letter

  But it never comes

  Magazines come

  Letters for you go

When I finally receive your letter

I rush in and read it

  Then I very carefully

Decide how to write you back

The next day I mail it

  And begin waiting

  For your letter

  Summer School

  I’ve been in a room

  For three weeks

  The men in white

  Came and took me away

At first the walls were blue

  Then slowly they changed

  Spots appeared

  The walls turned white

  I couldn’t do anything

  The walls were closing in

  That is what summer school

  Does to you

  Abortion

  I would have been

  A beautiful baby

  BUT YOU KILLED ME

  I might have been

  The first female president

Or the first man in space

  BUT YOU KILLED ME

You never gave me a chance

  To prove myself

  I could have followed

  In your footsteps

  BUT YOU KILLED ME

  Why did you do it

You have put me up for adoption

But you didn’t want to see me

Most murderers get put in jail

But you get to run free

With the memories of taking my life

You should have been put in jail

  Like all the other murderers

  You took my life

If you didn’t want a baby

Then put it up for adoption

  Just don’t take our lives.

  Our Future

Since the moment I saw you

I cannot stop thinking of you

  When the darkness comes

  I see your face

  With each russell of leaves

  I hear your voice

  I continue to wonder

  What it would be like

  To get to know you

  To have you hold me

  To never wonder

  What the future holds

  For you and me

  The wondering will never end

  Heavenly Father

As I close my eyes at night

I realize I have lost you

  Morning comes

I hope I can find you

  Other things
/>
  Seem to fill my time

Until now I did not realize

  How lonely I could feel

  I need you

But I don’t know how to ask

  You seem so close

  But I cannot find you

  Please come back

  Into my life

  Without you I shall die

  A lonely death

  Years

  Many years have gone by

  Since I last saw you

I wonder how you are doing

  What you look like

Do you ever think about me

  Why did you leave

  When did you stop caring

  Will we ever

  Meet again

  When will the tears

  And memories stop

  We Became One

  The night sky

  And the stars

  Were our blankets

  The dirt and grass

  We used as a bed

  The fallen leaves

  Cushioned our heads

  In the dark

  Before morning could come

  We found each other

  And became one

  Jesus

  I called to you

  But you did not hear

  I protected you even though

You did not know I was near

I wept when you were hurting

But still you did not seek

  My child I am here

All you have to do is ask

  The Game

  To play the game

  It was by your rules

You made me choose my family

  Or my love

  I chose my love
