want with me, always.

  “Yes, I have.”

The spirit nods, smiling warmly as white fills the store.

  Afterword

Memories was written during debates regarding same-sex marriage in the United States during 2012-2013. Rather than make a commentary about the political and religious nature of the argument, I wrote Memories as a tale, which I hope, speaks to the heart of the matter: commitment, and love that wishes to be recognized.

It is my hope that, someday, all peoples will be able to share the love they hold, and shape the memories of their life without obstruction or oppression.
