There now follows an attempt to emulate the writers of long ago who specialised in music hall monologues. The first one was inspired by my daughter Karen’s driving test and the trials and tribulations that led up to it. The second was written for a friend’s amusement when his wife opened a fruit shop. She was the butt of many a joke regarding the ‘display of her wares’ and customers ‘handling her melons’.I hope you enjoy them as I aspire to bring out a book of such writings in the near future.
