such a deep, rich, sweetness that can make a man crave for more;

  messy but a savory delight he is to me,

  and I pray I taste the same to him.

  He keeps me buzzing around him,

  ready to sting anyone who dares to get too close to my treat.

  Oh this man, this man,

  how sweet he is to me.

  Fruit

  Succulent, a fully ripe fruit hangs in front of me,

  ready to be picked;

  I shall peel his layers down to the flesh;

  savoring all of his flavor with a teasing bite,

  I shall extract this seed bearing fruit,

  and take the time to enjoy this tender morsel,

  before he spoils.

  Forever and A Day

  Our fingers interlock,

  I’ve always loved the strong grip of his hand,

  his beautiful smile as my other hand traces his strong jawline;

  my head rests upon his chiseled chest,

  as I listened to his heart beat;

  I wonder if it is in sync with mine.

  My Life

  I never asked for much,

  I never demanded to be respected,

  loved, or even to be paid attention to;

  when the puzzle in my head began to form,

  the picture I saw was not what I wanted to see,

  but I never shaped the pieces that formed it,

  you did.

  I never asked for much,

  I could never demean myself by telling you what I deserve;

  you either know the answer or don’t,

  no ultimatum can change that;

  my body is my body,

  my life is my life,

  and I will never let you take that away from me.

  Monotropa uniflora

  I never needed the sun to grow,

  I feasted upon the life around me like a parasite,

  in order to survive.

  They’ve never seen a black ghost flower before,

  a rare flower that I am;

  since the powers that be have made the propagation of my people nearly impossible,

  they may never see another one of us again.
